Obama is in a totally different reality than me, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. Just something to take into account and recognize and I don't think people do. @theseanze I am a very normal person, I also happen to meditate on a daily basis like a lot of normal people do. You don't have to be a tree hugging hippie weirdo to appreciate the benefits of meditation and developing more inner peace and stillness. its not hypnosis. In fact it helps me keep a clear view of the world around me and act less impulsively and emotionally. You should try it instead of condemning it on general principle because your a normal person. Or don't, I don't really care...

I have a degree in religious studies and have had a few really wonderful experiences of self-realization through meditation or similar states of mind, but all I'm trying to say is where I'm coming from, being at peace in yourself doesn't mean being aware of larger issues that smart people can solve.
