at&t caped DSL may 2nd 2011. I was upset. I was with them for 6 years. im left them. I was crying. because I really liked At&t. I wish they would put it back to unlimited. people are going to have to Switch Earthlink DSL 6mbps 39. month. year contract if u cancel early 90. fee. also you can try it for 30 days. 7 to 14 days to get Earthlink modem. they have there own server.Sad at&t is doing this.
And Also theres somthing else u should know if u already dont... its tha speeds of Internet... For Every 1,000 Kilobyte is 1 Megabyte and every 1,000 Megabyte is 1 Gigabyte and so on and so forth...Kilobits-Kilobytes-Megabits-Megabytes-Gigabits-Gigabytes-Terabit-Terabytes
NEVER get internet through Satellite Bcuz EVERY1 who has Satellite has to share a "Bandwith" that tha company puts out whereas DSL is ur PERSONAL line and im pretty sure you'll get unlimited Bandwith and whatever speed they say it is, it IS but i think it'll slow down JUUUST a tad whenever tha BILL is due. and im not so sure on how Cable internet works, OH and i might b wrong but i heard somewhere that they started charging by tha minute with Rd Runner's Internet.

Yep exaclty the same with Bellsouth AT&T DSL Lite program...had this for 3 years and all of a sudden its down to the speed we had back in the 90's....tops out at 33kbs......and they just added $5 a month to the bill...... geez...sounds like a Odrama trick.....
dsl works like that if your far away from the provider it gets slow and if your closer its fast,but cable it does not matter how far you are but the whole neighborhood shares the speed so if your the only one with cable you have all the speed,and if others are using it then it slows down.i wish we had fios in my naihboorhood :(
i had slow connection for my computer then i got the cutting edge wire connection lol the electrical guy finally ran wire through our walls now its fast

I had this problem before (have a router) all i did was untick RTSP (it means:Allows applications that use Real Time Streaming Protocol to receive streaming media from the internet. QuickTime and Real Player are some of the common applications using this protocol. )everything worked fine after that.
We have the same problem even though we supposedly have DSL extreme 6.0, a lot of buffering issues, and sometimes pages will just get "stuck" loading and I have to unplug and plug back in the modem to sort of "kick it in the butt" to get it going, and is why we are switching back to Comcast High Speed Internet.
I have roadrunner at home that runs at 15mbps down and 2mbps up.....It never stops working....My dsl at work will completely stop working for a few minutes, come back on for a few seconds, rinse and repeat...Its total crap....
Dont even ask how many times I had to refresh the page or how long I had to wait just for this video to load. My ATT DSL completely stops working for a few minutes and then starts....Its a cycle that happens all day....I had to refresh this page 5 times to get the video to load.....Thank god I have roadrunner at home...
Ya OMG, doesn't it just piss you off beyond words?!Especially when you really want to watch something real bad! I start rocking back n forth in my chair and then I start to swear and end up clicking off the entire internet. ha Is rd runner thru cable TV? Was thinking about getting that, or satellite. But it's time to switch to SOMETHING! Other than THIS!!

I feel your pain.I have the same problem with Frontier.I guess alot of ISP's overbook so they can optimize network use, or, make as much as possible.
