I am an american and i have to intent on arguing. But i would much rather have the SU-35BM. Sure it has a reduced radar cross section at the front and not full stealth. But it is capable of ground attack,air superiority and maritime strike (anti shipping). It is also cheaper to purchase,easier to maintain and it can hold its own against the typhoon,rafale and gripen if its in the hands of a well skilled pilot. And no matter how advanced the aircraft is. Its useless without a skilled pilot.

The bad news for F-22 is SU 35's Irbis AESA radar can reach target which RCS even lower than 0.1 ms far from 200 km. Because of range of missile carried by F-22 never beyond 80 km, so there will be extreme danger for F-22 when F-22 meet with Su-35BM which is equipped with Irbis Radar and LRA2Amissiles.

f-22 actually goes mach 2.42 and has the same maneuverability as the su-37. You should get some of your facts straight. If you divide the trust by the weight of the aircraft and put it in mach form you will get this answer-mach 2.42. Simple and proven. The f-22 uses all it's control surfaces and thrust vectoring to maneuver more effectively, other than just using thrust to maneuver for example the su-35.

@XStarss The f-22 is faster than your fastest fighter (su-37), has the same maneuverability because it uses integrated computer controls instead of old control surface technology the su-37 has, and has stealth so you would even know if we launched a missile at you until you see it. The f-22 blows the T-50 pak-fa out of the water through stealth and super cruise alone. The pak-fa's radar cross section will be 0.5m2(you call that stealth?) according to the Indian MoD who has a joint contract(half the bill) with russia.
The F-22's radar cross section is 0.0001m2-0.00014m2.
That means theoretically the f-22 will be 3500x-5000x more stealthy than the T-50 pakfa.
And keep in mind the raptor is almost 20 years old, and the pakfa isn't even out yet.
To correct the person that is saying an F-117 was shot down by a SAM you might want to check that out again it was AAA that got him because he was flying so low.
and even if the f 22 is better our anti air missiles never fail and they can just destroy a f 22 in seconds even old russian anti air missiles can destroy a f 22 like in the serbian they shot down an american stealth bomber with old missiles.
Never fail? Everything fails to some degree, and stealth has pretty much negated every counter measure used against it in actual combat. The S-300 would be the minimum armament needed to even try fighting the F-22.

This video is little wrong, it is SU-37 on the video. It has same TW ratio as raptor, but basically raptor thrust is based on 100% afterburners, but he cant last long on them. Sukhoi afterburners give roughly 50% of more thrust. And remember Raptor is built for stealth-lose in aerodynamic. Sukhoy is built for aerodynamic. And 3D nozzles give him extreme maneuverability. WIth them he dont need speed or high G to turn. Only 1 known aircraft can get into his tail - Mig-29M OVT (1.8 TW Ratio!)
I don't know so much about the SU-37, but I was actually in the US Air Force for 8 years, working in the air crew. From what I was taught, the F-22 is best suited for air to air combat; hence, why it has never been used in Iraq or Afghanistan. The F-22 can fly very high, perform very high-G maneuvers, and is designed mainly for stealth and to be somewhat of an aerial gunship. The F-22 hasn't been proven in combat. The F15, although less advanced, is faster, and has the best track record.

The F-22 is one of the first combat planes that is designed to rely on mil power. The Flanker isn't in the same league, and it will burn through all its fuel in AB trying to keep up with the F-22. The F-22's design doesn't hinder the aerodynamics. That is the whole point of the plane, to be stealthy and agile. That's why it does not look like the F-117. Technology has moved on, don't mention the limitations of old tech (BTW, the aero on the Flanker is 30 years old). PAK-FA is the F-22 fighter.

How, where is the proof that the Su-35 has a tighter turning radius? Just because it has canards and 3D thrust vectoring means that it has to be more maneuverable? In case you hadn't noticed, the Su-35 and SU-30 are HEAVY, MASSIVE airframes. Additionally, they have crappy thrust to weight ratios. I am an american and i have to intent on arguing. But i would much rather have the SU-35BM. Sure it has a reduced radar cross section at the front and not full stealth. But it is capable of ground attack,air superiority and maritime strike (anti shipping). It is also cheaper to purchase,easier to maintain and it can hold its own against the typhoon,rafale and gripen if its in the hands of a well skilled pilot. And no matter how advanced the aircraft is. Its useless without a skilled pilot.

@bduttay As said before i have no intent on arguing. But a shitty pilot with an advanced aircraft will have his skills strained by a highly skilled pilot in an F-16 or SU-35. Also i like the F-22 dont get me wrong. But im more of an F-16 fan. If i was sitting in the oval office i would have had the F-16 fleet upgraded and newer F-16s delivered to replace the older models reason being because i lost all faith with the F-35. The bad news for F-22 is SU 35's Irbis AESA radar can reach target which RCS even lower than 0.1 ms far from 200 km. Because of range of missile carried by F-22 never beyond 80 km, so there will be extreme danger for F-22 when F-22 meet with Su-35BM which is equipped with Irbis Radar and LRA2Amissiles.

The Maximum range of the OLS-35 for approaching fighters using afterburner is 30km (source Sukhoi). Because the F-22 engages enemies at Mach 1.8 without using afterburner, the OLS-35's detection range is reduction to 20km. The F-22 fires at the incoming Su-35 at the AIM-120D's maximum range of 130km. The Su-35's is not aware it has been targeted & fire at until either the AIM-120D's radar fires up at 10km (source ausairpower) or the missiles is detected by the Su-35's radar at 30-50 km.

An unfair comparison for obvious reasons. going by numbers alone in a near future conflict it will mostly be f15...18, euro f vs su27, mig29 unless russians build more 35s. That being the case a more practical comparison would be those planes vs s3/400 defenses, as well. su27,35 was meant to counter f15s. thats a fair comparison. People should really cite sources for their info otherwise its just opinion. Tom clancy, game manuals dont count. Not everyone on youtube is an insider expert.

f-22 actually goes mach 2.42 and has the same maneuverability as the su-37. You should get some of your facts straight. If you divide the trust by the weight of the aircraft and put it in mach form you will get this answer-mach 2.42. Simple and proven. The f-22 uses all it's control surfaces and thrust vectoring to maneuver more effectively, other than just using thrust to maneuver for example the su-35.

@XStarss The f-22 is faster than your fastest fighter (su-37), has the same maneuverability because it uses integrated computer controls instead of old control surface technology the su-37 has, and has stealth so you would even know if we launched a missile at you until you see it. And also Russian made its own cheap f-22 called the su-50 that only has half the features of the f-22 and doesn't come close to the stealth the f-22 has. Know your facts.

Also Su-37 is far from fastest Russian aircraft. It is built for maneuverability, and only Mig-29 OVT is better.
As for speed, Mig-31 and Mig-25 are built for that.

@XStarss The only differnce is yaw and yaw 90% of the time is used for landings in crosswinds. And no it is not the fastest russian aircraft built the mig-33 is. Again... know your facts. The other 10% of the faw feature of thrust vecoting is flatspins and the f-22 can perform flats spins at any angle thanks to it's tilted rudders and advanced computer system that always gets updated. The su-37 computer is only half as powerful as the f-22's. In maneuvrability the f-22 is the same as the su-27.

The f-22 blows the T-50 pak-fa out of the water through stealth and super cruise alone. The pak-fa's radar cross section will be 0.5m2(you call that stealth?) according to the Indian MoD who has a joint contract(half the bill) with russia.
The F-22's radar cross section is 0.0001m2-0.00014m2.
That means theoretically the f-22 will be 3500x-5000x more stealthy than the T-50 pakfa.
And keep in mind the raptor is almost 20 years old, and the pakfa isn't even out yet.

Never fail? Everything fails to some degree, and stealth has pretty much negated every counter measure used against it in actual combat. The S-300 would be the minimum armament needed to even try fighting the F-22.

This video is little wrong, it is SU-37 on the video. It has same TW ratio as raptor, but basically raptor thrust is based on 100% afterburners, but he cant last long on them. Sukhoi afterburners give roughly 50% of more thrust. And remember Raptor is built for stealth-lose in aerodynamic. Sukhoy is built for aerodynamic. And 3D nozzles give him extreme maneuverability. WIth them he dont need speed or high G to turn. Only 1 known aircraft can get into his tail - Mig-29M OVT (1.8 TW Ratio!)

I don't know so much about the SU-37, but I was actually in the US Air Force for 8 years, working in the air crew. From what I was taught, the F-22 is best suited for air to air combat; hence, why it has never been used in Iraq or Afghanistan. The F-22 can fly very high, perform very high-G maneuvers, and is designed mainly for stealth and to be somewhat of an aerial gunship. The F-22 hasn't been proven in combat. The F15, although less advanced, is faster, and has the best track record.

The F-22 is one of the first combat planes that is designed to rely on mil power. The Flanker isn't in the same league, and it will burn through all its fuel in AB trying to keep up with the F-22. The F-22's design doesn't hinder the aerodynamics. That is the whole point of the plane, to be stealthy and agile. That's why it does not look like the F-117. Technology has moved on, don't mention the limitations of old tech (BTW, the aero on the Flanker is 30 years old). PAK-FA is the F-22 fighter.

no no no. You are completely wrong. The ONLY reason why the f-22 program was stopped was because of its HUGE budget and cost.
To say that it "wasn't effective" would be a downright mentally handicapped thing to say.
In fighter simulations the F-22 got a 144-0 kill track against the f-15's, f-16's, and F/A-18's, some of the greatest planes ever made.

How, where is the proof that the Su-35 has a tighter turning radius? Just because it has canards and 3D thrust vectoring means that it has to be more maneuverable? In case you hadn't noticed, the Su-35 and SU-30 are HEAVY, MASSIVE airframes. Additionally, they have crappy thrust to weight ratios. This also means that the SU's can't maintain a high angle of attack like the Raptor. The American planes would also employ vertical maneuvers like the grinder, In which the SU's can't keep up.

Actually there are quite a few known Su-35's and the rest I'm sure are hidden...thats Russian ways of doing things. Same as Serbs thats why when NATO bombed them the claim was all Serbian forces whiped out and when it was time to withdraw much to our surprise...here was Serbian forces relatively untouched rolling away from Kosovo. Nothing is baseless....just hope it doesn't take a war to prove you wrong.
