You cannot compare him to Pavarotti. Agreed, both voices are beautiful, but Pavarotti dared to sing with other great tenors. That says a lot for him. But the most pure and perfect voice was that of Enrico Caruso whose old recordings were virginal and no electronic assistance, but the voice shines through.

I think him being blind, that is, his eyes being closed while singing, adds to his performance. His eyes being closed makes it look even more like he's just lost in the song, lost in his own world as he sings. It's beautiful.

Lucianos tenor voice has a bit more power, however Andreas has a more rich, warm tone, imo

I am familiar with Pavarotti, Stefano, Bjorling, Domingo, Carreras, Peerce, Wunderlich, Florez and others (though I must constantly look up the spellings). But for the last several years, I have been of the opinon that none top Bocelli's brilliance! A genius!
