I like Downey and Jude Law, but they seem like terrible casts for this. PLEASE GO BACK TO GANGSTER FLICKS GUY RITCHIE!! YOU DO THEM SO WELL!!

Downey Jr. is one of Hollywood's best actors, but he looks very miscast as Holmes, who was described and sometimes pictured in the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle books as being very lanky, almost dwarfing Watson. From the looks of these two, it's the other way around. They probably should have put Jude Law in the Holmes role and Downey Jr. in Watson's.
