Yeah, I've heard about those spa dentists. I was thinking I might go to a hypnotist to see if that would work, because this is one fear that really has not gone anywhere. It's been well over a year since I made this video and there's still a lot of work that needs to be done.
Hehe. YES, find another dentist- one that knows how fearful you are and is sensitive to it. There's many out there just like us!
Aw Jeez this made me shakey. I'm a dentaphobe too..it's not just the drills for me, its everything. I cry during X-rays..even though there's no pain or sound involved in that...and I can't even make it through regular cleanings okay. One and a half years ago I apparently had a cavity (but I couldn't feel any pain) so they worked on it and AFTER they were done it hurt so badly! I still haven't told my dentist. Hell no am I getting it fixed! It was a molar, so I just chew on one side of my mouth.
My sister is so afraid of the dentist that I have to take my nephew so that he doesn't inherit her fear. She's scared because of a horror tale that happened to me: I'm over it, she isn't. Weird. But then, as you've already established, fears are often irrational. :)

Haha I have dentaphobia as well. I unfortunatly I have to get all four of my wisdom teeth removed. Not looking forward to it lol
