exactly. that 3 night tour was for the red sox's minor league cities. obama was completely unncessary. If i went to a democratic party concert, then fine. what if they had a banner of the pope, or jesus? people would be pissed because it is a concert for the RED SOX not catholicism or christianity.
dude, i was at that concert, and the bosstones kicked ass. so you're seriously going to say that they're not a real band?yeah, the dropkicks rock, but the bosstones are true ska. wow. you make me upset.
idk about anyone else but i know the bosstones are ska. dkm aren't. just cuz the bosstones are ska doesn't mean they rock harder than dkm tho lol. cuz they don't. sorry. that makes ME upset.
wow every other person on this is retarded. i never said that the bosstones aren't a real band. I went to the concert mainly to see dkm. I made the video. if u wanna make a video about the bosstones, go right ahead. and big deal, typo's happen
i only went to the concert to mainly see the mighty mighty bosstones.....fuck you for saying DKM is more of a band that bosstones...bosstones have been around since 89 buddy....DKM came into the scene when MMB decided to take a break from their awsomeness so shut up about real bands....bosstones are more realer than DKM
@dan1215 dumbass. "da bosstones have been around since 1989! that makes them better" go cry somewhere else, the other people commenting on this page are seriously fucking stupid, whining about typos (even though its a fucking youtube message board you only get like 500 characters), trying to tell duncachinno about "true" punk rock, all he said was that he doesn't like obama and i don't blame him big deal it' his opinion of what he didnt like about the show.
I went to that concert, and yes it was Kick ass, but you don't have to hate on the Bosstones so much. You should not let political views get in the way of stuff like this, kinda Immature or in my language your Being a little bitch
all i am saying is that this wasn't a rally for obama. it was a 3 day concert for the citys of the minor league teams of the boston red sox. have a red sox banner!
Lay off. They have a right to do what ever they want. When you get to where they are then you can put up your own poster of whoever you want. The Bosstones weren't opening. Civet was opening for both of them. I'm a ska fan too, and they don't have to be criticized by every retard that doesn't totally agree with every little thing they choose to do.
i've never been to a bosstones concert so what was w/ the dancing guy? if you are gonna dance on stage maybe learn more than 3 moves. maybe the sprinkler.
Ben "The Bosstone" was a good friend/Roadie for the band. Like much of the band at the time, Ben was under age. One night the band was told by a club owner that Ben would have to leave since he wasn't 21 and wasn't in the band. Dicky insisted Ben was in the band and told Ben to get on stage and jump around so he wouldn't be kicked out...Again, it just stuck! Behind the scenes Ben would eventually go on to do double duty as Tour Manager as well.
I actually almost died by getting crushed and kicked to death after i fell in the middle of the crowd and landed into one of the moshing parts of the crowd. It was totally awesome!!! Granted, I went in kinda ready to boo out the Bosstones cuz I heard like, 2 of their songs and I know very well I'm not a ska fan. But they really put on a friggen fantastic show that nearly ended my life. My corpse would have been ID'd as SGT Sexy from the army dog tags they were handing out.
I really think this whole tour was ill-advised, sure, I get the point.... two boston loyal bands hit new england...... but, as it turns out, home town pride only really helps in your home town....
here they've brought together two bands with completely different fan-bases simply because they're both from boston... it's like if david bowie and the sex pistols toured together just because they're both from Britain...
yeah true. like civet is from la or something. bosstones are ska and dkm are irish punk or something like that. random concert. but it was still an awesome concert at that.
I was There, the second best part of that night was watching half of the crowd leave after the BossToneS (even though dicky spent shit loads of time telling everyone how great they were)..... The best part was the BossToneS' set..... The Third Best Part was the burger I ate during the murphy's set.... down the street, at $3 dewy's
... really, why the fuck are the BossToneS an open act? If you don't think that's sad you need you head examined! The BossToneS should be headlining but i'm a ska fan
Whole better band thing? Im saying all bands are good and im not saying one is better than the other. For your infromation I just went to this show in NJ yesterday and the bosstones said nothing about obama.
Listen, You obvilously do not know shit about punk rock. All punk rockers favor left wing over right wing. The right wing punks are nazis.the murphys are just as liberal as the bosstones are. You are probably not a true murphys fan considering you posted all of their pop songs and neglected everything else. The bosstones are a very well respected punk band who puts on a kick ass show. The band has every right to express their views on the election just as you did.
easy hockeyplaya...im just saying they didn't really need to throw politics out there. if i wanted to see obama every where i would have gone to some democratic convention. i really don't care how punk any band is. i don't care how some band votes. i just don't want politics in my face when im trying to enjoy a concert. bosstones did put on a kick ass show, but a banner w/ obama on it wasn't exactly tasteful.
i somewhat agree with you, but first of all do not disrespect the bosstones its their show they can do what ever they want and speak their minds that is what punks about. Also they have been around a lot longer than the murphys and are a hard working well respected band. This just shows you have no clue what you are talking about and are one of the many pop punk fans going to murphys shows because they heard tessie or shipping up to boston in departed. They have much better songs than those
never seen the departed. i didn't realize there was a law or something saying that u have to be 'punk' to like certain bands. i can't like dropkick murphys even though my whole family is from ireland and scotland. and just because i can only take so many videos w/ my cell phone i have no idea about anything.
these nasty comments make maine upset!this was the best show still to this date god bless portland, dont like it? leave.

The dancing guy in the MMBT is Ben Carr. is sole purpose is to dance on stage. well, that and he *is* the manager for the MMBT.
As for the Obama thing.. they stated their opinion.. you stated yours. get over it. quite frankly, *I* don't like any of the candidates.
