This new language in the House bill would give property-grabbing bureaucrats an easy way around the supposed prohibition on using eminent domain.

All they would have to do is take property for any reason that Kelo allows, and then come up with another project for the specific use of that property. If land were grabbed for general economic development, as Kelo permits, and then a new project were created for a city to sell this land to developers, this would likely not be a violation of the House bill. After all, the new project isnt seeking to use eminent domain, it is merely using land that had already been confiscated.

This year 2008 all private property owners should be worried especially those sitting in the way of the new Super Highway and should contact your local Congressman to raise the issue and ask why this language was added to A Housing Bill which was supposed to help American's keep their homes but actually make it easier for the government to take away.

If Americans really, seriously want to lower the trade deficit, they should stop buying foreign stuff and then blaming everything on their Govt. If you buy cheap stuff from Walmart, dont whine about China having a trade surplus with the US. If you want cheap software and cheap services, well the jobs will go to China and India and Mexico, that's how things work.

The citizens of the US have a lot of power and say in their country's economy.

Wakingupamerica: I am not taking sides. Society is made up of people some of whom end up in the govt., some in big companies and some in the rest of the fields.

Point is: politicians and big company people are also products of this corrupt ugly society.

They are not specially good or evil, just ordinary.

ALL Im saying is one cannot wait for the govt or big companies to change...the consumer has to change as they have the Power.

Personally, I have no problems with society. I accept it.
