Awesome job on the slideshow, I really enjoyed it...love the hell outta this song, reminds me of my senior year class trip to Washington DC...barely remember it, but still laugh about it to this day...the shit we done and got away with...with chaperone's there!, lol... damn I was I had those days back!
@striker2479 Hi, I don't really keep up with them anymore, just still enjoy the songs from when I was in high school (back when woolly mammoths roamed North America). You can go to blueoystercult d o t c o m and see a list of past and current tour dates. And thanks for the comment--it is a great song. Two skull crushing power chords, followed by a 1940s boogie-woogie lick--it's the most unique guitar riff in rock, IMO.
Great vid. Some gems in there. My favs: Dali, Donnie Darko, Close Encounters, Eric's guitar at 2:05 (never saw that before!), the band pic at 3:13. Awesome.
The shot of Buck at 0:56 is the best. That pic alone should have earned him a spot in stupid Rolling Stone's list of 100 greatest guitarists.
i think the solos at 152and at 352 are the best thing in the world ever- i put them up against atomic rooster( devils answer) ,skynrd, purple, and all the rest...........
These are so really cool pics you put together for this jam.
I can see that you are a true Harvester of Eyes and pics. I sure that you have take the Stairway to the Stars on many of your jouneys. I'm certain that in times of need, you can depend on The Oyser Boys to help you out. Remember, keep an watchful eye for Godzilla while you explore the galaxy in your Workshop of Telescopes. I will be sure to keep the Vigil for you.
@TheSanityInspector YES!!! Saw them several times... they are so good, so cool, so underrated, so clever with the venacular of the cosmos.. so excellant with the musicality ...boys got some skils (Buck SO underrated)... oh, and they flat out rock! Gonna seem em Sunday in Indy!!
@akrocuba I don't know of another guitarist who would have come up with the hook for this song: Two skull-crushing power chords, followed by a 1940s boogie-woogie riff. Genius!

@Estoakland81st It certainly is cerebral for a heavy metal song!

This is the rockin'est tune on the whole album. I don't know why Fear the Reaper gets all the radio play.
