What did happen w/ Eric Roberts? What does he need to be forgiven for? I love The Pope of Greenwich Village so much. But I always think when i watch it, what the hell happened to both these guys? They're both so awesome in it, but both careers fizzled shortly after. Were they hard to work with? Drugs? What? At least Rourke got his comeback eventually.

@fede018 I can always see the strings in every one of his performances...Also, I thought that his "Capote" performance was tantamount to hitting one note for two hours. Terrible and grating, and it one him the Oscar.

LA Times ran a piece on why PSH landed the hardware that year and Heath Ledger (Brokeback Mountain) did not...Turns out PSH plays the Hollywood game and Ledger wanted nothing to do with it. Politics as usual.

I was never a "real" Mickey Rourke fan in the past but I always liked him. But after seeing him do his acceptance speeches in his come back I immediately LOVED him! I have the upmost respect for him! I love him for keeping it REAL! He's not one of these fake ass actors being phony and saying what is politically/publicly correct! He says what he means and truly comes from the heart even if it may come across crass to some people! He is who he is and says what he means!! Got to love him for that!

Just by chance found this! Poor quality or not it was nice to see it warts and all! Before YouTube or somebody censor it. This is the FIRST happy moment of any video of Mickey being Mickey here on YouTube. You can tell he is hurting missing Loki but he tries to be upbeat.
