  • not so faaassttt

  • This piece is that we let the rhytm talk.Evenness is important.I think that you can improve in this extent.Overall it is not bad but not good also.Keep investigating!

  • Okay, most of the comments suck because they dont know anything about music/bach.

You played the piece very well, except for a big rhythm mistake at the "Ardagio" part.

It's very difficult to play such a piece clearly because mostly the left hand slows down a bit and its not clear.

    so

    A- for you ;)

  • Lot of assholes in the comments. I thought it was good. I didn't hear many mistakes, and the few I did hear were not very bad ones. Also, the "mood" thing someone below me mentioned is BS. When you play someone else's music, there's not much you can really do other than to play what was written. I really hate it when pianists try to force emotion onto the piece by overusing pedals, playing quietly and then loudly, etc.

  • @kourosh89 Thank you for your nice and honest reply :)

  • You fail in both technical prowess as musicality.

  • ni fait ni à faire... ça ne veut absolument rien dire de jouer comme ça

  • music is not sports, here the main is how you transfer the mood and not how many words a minute :). Anyway, not bad! Keep on playing.

  • no good..... just too fast.... no clean!!!! sorry but you are not glenn gould

  • For all those people saying that the tempo is too fast: shut up. When you learn a Bach piece, you start slow then build up to insane speeds so that playing normally feels more comfortable. There's no point in every piano player in the world posting this song on Youtube. The most you can do is brag about your max speed. And this guy has speed. I've been learning this piece in the last 2 weeks and can already play it at Gould speed perfectly. If try to go as fast as this guy and my hands freeze.

  • too fast :/

  • Wow! you play too well, I'm learning the method, but I think very difficult, I can play just three lessons, and played poorly .... : D

  • Brilliant performance. I love the piece in this tempo in spite of mistakes. Congratulations!

  • nice job :D ;) well done I like it in this tempo :D

  • arf you miss some notes... good speed anyway

  • now its time to understand bach

  • UMM. u play all the notes the same volume. to many trips.. bad tempo. I started this song last week and i swear i can play it better.

  • moi la vitesse me convient ^^. Bravo!

  • @crusellweber Merci :)

  • What is wrong with you? Haven't you learned by now that Bach's Prelude in C minor craves a much slower speed and more accents, not just by showing off and playing fast. The most beautiful part of the whole piece (not according to your playing) happens at 0:50- 0:57 . And I couldn't hear any of the voices of that section. Thank you, you killed it.

  • @hhaleybluee allegretto doesn't mean play quick and sloppy. The piece is supposed to be played swiftly and crisply or else the notes mash together and the original chord structures are completely lost.

    P.s. I accomplished it, cleanly.

  • haha. its supposed to be fast. you dumbasses. look at every other person that has played this. its probably faster. and, id bet you couldnt accomplish this if your life depended on it.

  • u call this music? i call this rushed, emotionless... crap you dont even carry a tempo

  • ....It's um. Too fast. "Rather boring, I guess." Why do you think we came here? Dude. Did you know classical music makes people genius?

  • OMG dude, your fingers are like doing an endless trill or something!

  • By the way you play, you make his music boring. Show some respect.

  • Onley of your description I going to dislike this video ! .... and also, no feeling .. Bach deserve at least some respect .... egoist you are !

  • you chose such a fast tempo! it takes a lot of work to get to that fast of a speed without tensing up.... im working on it myself and im going a little slower than the written 108 beats per minute. im just browsing for other versions to improve my own. but seriously dude dont post it then call it boring and then deny that its a fast piece, especially since your tempo is way up there. sheesh its called being humble

  • Lovely, but I can't help but hate bach.

  • @Diffomega whyy? he is amazing

  • @BlackIsOut Too much of a copycat, and saved a few exceptions, most of his songs are about technique rahter than realy feeling.

  • try watching gould play it if you find this boring. he knew how bach wanted it to sound. like his part where he plays the fugue (2.4 mins or so)

  • There are other videos where people can enjoy the suttle medley of the piece but funnily enough I was searching youtube for a rendition of this piece where it's played fast. Found. Enjoyed it. Bravo!

  • No complaints about precision, but I rather play or listen to this in a slower movement...

  • excellent/great depth

  • Rallenta!!! la musica deve essere assaporata, così non si capisce nulla!

  • @0:06 i always hit b by accident too.

  • pffffff...

  • impressive

  • too fast...lack control..left and right hand out of sync.

    other than that, really good....

  • i tried play this prelude as fast as i could...and i did in tempo 165 xD

  • Lol WONDERFUL. I give you like. Um. Some thumbs. BACH IS NOT LAME.. it's wayyy better than having to listen to lady gaga and all that lame hiphop all the time.

  • I think you are losing pace somewhere around tenth second. so yeah.. get a new piano

  • check this outttttttttttttttt

    watch?v=Y8DMxKAe-aM

  • Only problem here is that it just goes on and on.

  • If your sex is as fast and heartless as your music, you will stay single forever :DDD

  • DAMM!!!! IS FAST!!!

  • idiot ! terrible performing !

  • Das Stück ist keine Fingerübung!

Leider bleibt einiges von dem, was in diesem kleinen Präludium drin steckt, auf der Strecke ...

  • que porkeria....

  • too fast

  • That's too fast.

  • to fast !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great job!

  • Was this sped up? It seems very fast!

  • I think you need to take more time to practise this very slowly. Many of the notes are uneven and one hand often races ahead of the other. It is crying out for a bit of clarity and control.

  • I l ike this song better fast... but this is a bit too fast, and inconsistent.

    good job tho

  • no that would'n be boring, if you added more dynamics ;)

  • @tillo1995 my thoughts exactly

  • nice but this song isn't a race to the finish. Slow it down.

  • lol slow down a bit until you get it flawless

    oh nice yamaha piano btw!

  • LH, bar 30, Ab

  • "Uhm.... yeah. Rather boring, I guess. "

Nope... you play it boring... ever heard something about dynamic?

    aaaand... it's to fast...

  • i like it! originally this is supposed to be fast! u were going at a great tempo! GREAT interpretation!! 5 stars

  • cuando tu lo tocas suena como un mecanismo, sin nada de música

  • Shhlow down a bit and it gets more interesting.

  • @bennyK95

I agree, especially for the end !

  • Chubby hands.

You might try playing Russian music.

  • Comment removed

  • heeey, dude! don't listen to those jealous people! You've done a great job!! really good interpretetion!! congrats!

  • great interpretation of bach's piece!!. nice tempo, but i might take it down a notch....

    ;]

  • Xslayer51 you obviously have no clue what your talking about. This is way too fast. Don't get me wrong he plays it rather clean but its still too fast. So before you put in your two cents learn to play it first.

  • you people are retarded, that's the tempo you're supposed to be playing at. all of you people are playing it too slow.

fingering's a bit off and there are a couple of mistakes, other than that, perfect.

  • Ok. It is Allegro Vivace, you play it Prestissimo like I do. It sounds just great to play as fast as you play it. And it is just much more fun to play it faster. Every musician intérpretes music his/her own way. That's the point IMO. Good jon dude!

  • horrible! too fast and too many mistakes and need more accents!

  • @bazonce911 lol

  • @bazonce911

Post a Video Response to back up your, what most people would consider, ineffective criticism?

  • @bazonce911 do you have a copy of the sheet music with accents init? if you do i'd like to see it. maybe it has a guide to the tempo for your metronome or all the dynamics in it too. id like to see it....

  • this is MUCH too fast!

play it in original tempo and it will be fine

  • The tempo is a little too fast.

  • oh, you know the original tempo, you and Bach best buddies? pfft, you are pretentious.

  • You obiously know nothing about music, techno-dude.

This is a very impressive song, played by a very impressive performer.

  • you ruined the song

  • you're accents need work

  • You'd make less mistakes if you played it at a proper fucking tempo! Jesus! It's like having a nervous breakdown listening to that!

  • your interpretation got a lotta mistakes ;) practice more and slower than this

  • wow! how many words a minute is this?

  • One would expect me to be a fast typer, but I really am quite average or below average (and that even though I'm typing with 10 fingers and am used to computers a lot).

It's not really the fastest piece in the world either :)

  • "rather boring, I guess" ??? Is it boring or isn't it? Do you prefer other music, or do you like Bach better and just catering to people who don't get it?

  • Comment removed

  • @sspect Dude listen to Matthaus Passion and tell me if he is boring lol

  • @sspect Shame on you. ;-)

  • @sspect And yet you play his music?

  • @sspect

    Blasphemer.

  • @sspect -.-

  • umm, having fun ? slow down

  • I'm playing the exact same piece...

but I heard a few muddles. If I were you I'd take one WHOLE week to practice it SLOWLY.make sure you know each note 110%.

Also you say the whole thing is kinda boring.

that if because you don't hear the melody, the melody is the first not in the right hand of each bar... (until the presto part)

    C, A Flat, B, C...

Its actually quite a beautiful melody,,, try to make the melody stand out more than the rest

  • yes, the tempo for this son is 144, for 4.... but... i blieve that... if you play it so fast, you too must take care about the piano-forte effect, because, this song have many diminuendo's and crecendo's, that you must respect too, i prefer, personally, this song played slower, it gives more expression at the song, and makes more sweet and melancholic the listener's feeling

  • wow!! I love the way you play it so fast! it's awesome. I'd rate it 100* if I could^^

  • Very nice, but waaay to fast. Play it slower without mistakes...

  • you can play the piano very very well... but slower is sometimes better

  • this is really good!! a touch slower would've been better though i think...

  • I prefer Glenn Gould's version. I think it should'nt be played this fast... You need time to listen closely to every single note and feel them.

  • I like this prelude faster as well; as someone has already said, the prelude is marked Allegro and Presto (respectively), a couple of the few non-dynamic markings that Bach made in any of his music. If this piece is played too slowly the repeated harmonies in the same texture would drive me crazy. We'd be here forever. I love Glenn Gould, but I don't think his recordings, even of Bach, are always definitive. I think his recording of this piece is too slow; the texture requires a quicker tempo.

  • sauber ;)

  • viel zu schnell !!!!!

    das geht so nicht!

  • TROP VITE!!!

  • very entertaining... :)

  • its not boring at all why did you say that :D

  • Bizarre; after watching this a week later I heard all the mistakes. But hey, it was a good effort. :/ Everyone's a critic...

  • I don't know what others are comparing this to say it's too slow, maybe Gould. But I think this is played correctly, according to most versions I've seen, tempo wise. His allegro is allegro and his presto is presto. Don't know if Bach marked that on the original but I think this guy nails it.

  • I loved that.

  • A wonderful mind !!

Most negative comments are from those who cannot play this

  • Comment removed

  • the tempo was alright in the beginning but then it got too fast a few measures later. the part where the tempo turned to presto was good. and i disagree with your description on how this piece is boring.

  • Rapidez no es lo mismo que virtuosismo.

  • I miss staccato very much!

  • Too fast... you're not enjoying the sub-layers of the theme.

  • Too fast. Bach´s waking up, angry! Slow down!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAAH

    He sure is! XDD

  • if only he did wake up so we could ask him what tempo he really wanted :p

  • Because you know how fast it's supposed to be played right? you probably like the 'original' version, it's an interpretation, and he played it well, like it would sound on a clavier.

  • Who knows? Guess it´s a matter of taste and also about how it´s composed. I agree, he played it fast...and a bit sloppy ;-).

I prefer any tempo as long as u can here all the notes...

  • tooo fast

  • when your left hand is playing on the white notes try to keep it in between the black notes instead of having to do those jumps, also at some times try to keep your wrist higher, but other than that goodjob

  • lmao

  • Well, not boring for everyone - its got a mathemetical, logical touch of the inimitable mind of the master. Dont think you need to play that fast though.

  • you ass

  • quite an inconstant tempo

  • rythm ! ! ! ! mistakes . ..

  • you're a terrific piano player man..

    regards //kryX-orange

  • I guess it isn't speed up, because he made mistakes, which is almost impossible to happen, when you speed it up;)

  • Beautifully fast:D:D:D::D:D:D:D

  • its can be play in little slower compared to his tempo, but its not easy... ha, im also trying this piece..nice to play..

  • Not boring! Once of my favorite pieces.

  • HOW CAN YOU SAY THIS IS BORING? i'm trying to play this and it doesn't sound as good as this.

  • getting late for plane?:) I thought so.. =)

    p.s. over all not bad...:)

  • très bon rythme au contraire! je ne suis pas d'accord avec l'avis de certains, ta technique est parfaite!

C'est la meilleure version que j'ai pu écouter! essayes de le jouer sur un clavecin! c'est très rigolo aussi!

  • BAMF

  • Every other comment on these videos of people playing preludes is complaining about the tempo. I thought Bach didn't write any indications of what the tempo should be...am I wrong? I don't think I am... so how can you people complain?

  • well at times, this tempo isnt consistent. but then lol...you have to be like a master to have perfect tempo, especially with this piece. i'd say his tempo is perfect through 90% of the piece.

  • it´s goood but, IT ISN´T SO FAST¡¡¡¡, this prelude is more slowly, you have to enjoy it¡¡¡

  • mais n'importe quoi! le tempo est parfait, en clavecin, c'est celui ci ! et puis quand on est même pas capable de jouer.. mieux vaut ne pas critiquer!

  • Very good technique, but I think that the allegro part was too fast so the Presto part did not sound as Presto (almost no difference in speed). Congrats!

  • Very good tempo, though I think you should exaggerate the dynamics a little more.

  • My bad, forgot this piece doesn't even have dynamics lol.

  • It's only as boring as you play it.

And you didn't play it boring at all, so I really don't see where you're coming from.

  • Nicely judged tempo :)

  • This is no way to fast! This is the perfect tempo for this particular piece, and if you are of another opinion then it's simple because your brain isn't fast enough. ;-)

  • too fast, song lose a class

  • very good *.*

  • Excellent and at great tempo, fast enouph, excellent, congratulations, a beautiful "attacking" melody!

  • Slow down until you can keep it in time dude :)

  • Time or tempo? Either way, I agree with this person ^

  • PERFECTO

  • Hypnotic.

  • philip das verdient respekt o.o ich glaube meine mama ist voll stolz auf dich (:

  • go as fast as you like, but don't skip notes :P

  • SAUBER!!!

  • I -am- getting faster throughout the piece :/

Will have to work on that...
