But before that on that video it was 'Where the streets have no name' by U2, a group often used before games over the years at the Bell Center. (I remember 'Bad' this last season and 'Vertigo a couple of seasons back)

i must disagree, americans do cheer as loud for their sports, as we do for hockey, the difference is they cheer for boring sports such as baseball (can't believe how boring it is), basketball ( the sport where every score means nothing until the final seconds) and football ( the only sport that over analyzes everything that means nothing)
