thank you...I used your technique starting in Dec 2009. It's October 21 2010 and my hair was at the top of my shoulders..now using your technique in the dusting my hair is halfway down my back. The top grows faster than the back, but I dusted the top a little more so it will gradually catch up to the back and it did! Now the back of my hair is longer than the front! Used to wear a bun on top for over two years it was getting thin..so I trimmed as u said & was patient. Now no bald spot-itz long2!
I dont like layers..Im am transitioning to natural and I do trim(cut lol) my bottom layers and have maitaining at apl for a little less than a year...My crown is not even shoulder length..Im sorry I cant have a nl crown and a bsl nape....
@curvybody2 My hair is the same way! I had a hair cut two years ago due to heat damage...I went from Midback to collar bone length and the stylist cut my hair in EXTREME layers..My longest layer is bra strap length and my crown isn't shoulder length...What are you doing about yours? Should I cut to the shortest layer?Help!
OMG! Your technique is definitely working! Why O Why did I attempt to trim my hair and I only butchered it because I know nothing about cutting hair let alone cutting using angles. Now I'm afraid to get it shaped because of how much length I will lose. I know it's going to grow back and I totally understand the desire to cut out the layers! Oh well...I guess I'm bound to have setbacks. Thanks for the info!
I trimmed my ends but it still looks a little like there are split ends just because my hair is really curly and I don't perm my ends I just perm the roots and I don't straighten my hair too often because heat really destroys my hair. Will it take time to get used to trimming my ends correctly so that it looks like the beautician did it. I guess it will but I'm glad you showed a different way of doing it.
It does take a little time and practice. Just do a little at a time and take breaks inbetween if you need too. I have another video on trimming and dusting your ends you may find helpful. Thanks for stopping by!
nice im happy you made this video the way you trim your hair is way easier than the way everyone else does theirs!..i always had trouble with the back! im going to try your technique this month
pretty pretty pretty : ) thanks so much for this, my hair grows out in layers too! I thought I was the only one! haha! like the back of my head grows quicker than the front
Very nice!! I really like your video's a. nd your advice. My hair grown longer on one side than the other. How do I achieve a straight trim using your method to even out my hair. If I do half & half, how ill I know if it's even on both sides. TIA!! :)
That happens alot. Hair is really fickle when growing out of layers or a short hair style. Just remember your mirror and your guide ( fingers) are your best friends. Use two mirrors to inspect your hair. When I left the video for a moment to finish up the back I did just that. Hope this helps!
i would love to have a hair cut like this too cute!
