  • Why ain't there track number 14 "the hours"?

  • it was death, i choose life.

  • to live long and happy you should'nt be so minded I think so

  • "I AM DYING IN THIS TOWN!"

  • Why is the last track missing? It's the most beautiful IMO.

  • @AdeonC You got me!!!!!!

  • @AdeonC You got me!

  • whats the name of the track that was playing over the end credits?

  • This is my right; it is the right of every human being. I choose not the suffocating anesthetic of the suburbs, but the violent jolt of the Capital, that is my choice. The meanest patient, yes, even the very lowest is allowed some say in the matter of her own prescription. Thereby she defines her humanity. I wish, for your sake, Leonard, I could be happy in this quietness.

  • i also wanna chose a LIFE

  • "It would be wonderful to say you regretted it—it would be easy—but what does it mean? What does it mean to regret when you have no choice?"

  • I was just listening to this music because it gives me the same life-confirming feeling as the film does. And now I see that I'm not the only who knows a lot of quotes by heart, which makes me feel very peaceful!

    I absolutely adore this movie!

As Nicole said 'Art is important'!

  • "If I were thinking clearly, Leonard, I would tell you that I wrestle alone in the dark, in the deep dark, and that only I can know. Only I can understand my own condition. You live with the threat, you tell me you live with the threat of my extinction. Leonard, I live with it too."

"I wish for you sake, Leonard, that I could be happy in this quietness...but if it is a choice b/w Richmond and death...I choose death."

"It was death. I chose life."

    Greatest movie ever. ♥

  • this music is so beautifull........... tears to my eyes

  • Up until I heard this film and heard the soundtrack I thought Philip Glass' best work was koyanisqatsi, a documentary type film with absolutely no dialogue. It is a mesmerizing piece. Those who like Hours music would probably enjoy it but it is quite a different concept and worth thinking about. Glass was the absolutely best choice of composer for both these endeavors.

  • This is Great .............

  • OMG! The best song of the soundtrack for me. Really, is a masterpiece!

Thanks Phillip for your lovely music!

  • this is going to sound stupid but... if it were not fot The Hours and the charcter Clarissa Vaughan i would have commited suicide. this movie saved my life. iknow it sounds lame but its true

to look life in the face, to know it for what it is...and then to put it away...

  • @arlovechild That's not stupid at all. This movie has become such an inspiration to me. <3 All three of the actresses were so phenomenal. My dream is to become an actress, not for the fame, but for the joy and art of acting and the fact that, because of acting, you can REALLY be anything...anything at all. This movie is genius, and so...real. I can relate with all of the women, especially Clarissa b/c I am very familiar with putting on a happy face when I'm sad. Just know, it's not stupid. :]

  • @RawwrCupcake thanks, kind words are rare and charished where i come from... so thamks for leting me know im not stupid :) i wish you the best with becoming an actress we need more actors with you mind set,joy before fame, i have a feeling you'll be great :)

  • @arlovechild Aw, thank you. And you're very welcome. :] This movie has changed my life, too. I just wanted you to know you weren't the only one. Even though it only changed it slightly, it still changed it, you know? Again, thank you for your kind words as well. :D

  • the movie was a masterpiece, i love the hours

  • to look life in the face, always, to look life in the face and to know it for what it is ... at last to know it, to love it for what it is, and then, to put it away. Leonard, always the years between us, always the years. Always the love. Always the hours ...

    AMAZING MOVIE!!!!!

  • Shivers crall up my spine everytime Virginia speaks those last three words coupled with the TRAGIC scene that's playing.

A lovely movie deeper than any other.

  • @jpdoherty22 I agree completely. Almost every word Virginia speaks in the movie just speaks to your soul. At least to mine, it does. :] It's like all of her words have become a part of me. They echo through my mind almost every day now. I might sound lame, I know, but it's true. <3

  • @RawwrCupcake no. not lame, truer words have never been spoken. :)

"A womans whole life in a single day. Just one day. And in that day her whole life"

    -The Hours Novel

  • @arlovechild Oh, I just love that quote! <3 One of my favorites. :]

"Did it matter then, she asked herself, walking toward Bond Street. Did it matter that she must inevitably cease, completely? All this must go on without her. Did she resent it? Or did it not become consoling to believe that death ended absolutely? It is possible to die. It is possible to die."

    I absolutely adore this movie. :] <3

  • You cannot find peace by avoiding life, Leonard.
