@MrAnthony78666 YEAH ! I GUESS I'M LUCKY IN THAT MY PARENTS WERE'NT LISTENING TO ROCK'N'ROLL WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT...THEY WERE IN THEIR 20's , AND IT WAS THOUGHT OF AS BEING FOR KIDS. BUT , I DON'T REALLY FEEL LIKE I MISSED OUT. WE HAVE THE RECORDS , THE CDS , THE VIDEOS AND DVDs , AND , AS YOU SAID , THE YOU TUBE CLIPS. I HAVE TO HAND IT TO MSR. HALLYDAY FOR STAYING IN THE GAME , AND STILL DOING AS WELL AS HE HAS. CLIFF RICHARD , TOO. WHO'S BEEN ON TOP, 50 + YEARS , IN AMERICA ?
my dad told me he gave the french what we had in elvis, little richard, jerry lee lewis, etc. he's evidently been HUGE since the 60's, & is a huge star everywhere, except in the usa. i only recently heard of him.
@MrAnthony78666 It's true , he's long been regarded as France's answer to Elvis , but , of course , he's been through many changes since the early days of Rock 'n'Roll , and is still huge in France. I would'nt say he's a big star everywhere but the USA , but , you have to hand it to him , he's stayed on top all these years. He turned in a very strong performance in the film , " The Man on The Train" and stole the show in the "Good Rockin' Tonight" , the Sun Records Documentary.
@pfordsq yeah, i've been pulling him up a bit lately. i play alot of guitar myself, & i really like the stuff that my parents listened to as kids. the only drag is that he's so senior now. sort of feel like i missed out. thank goodness for youtube, right?
Such a true French thing to say, geez man sounds ok to me. Another foreign export singing our stuff, they all did and he has a lot of good stuff. Besides ya can't go wrong singin' ol' Eddie. Oldies stuff is always better than the later junk. Lighten up.

This is terrible, don't you think? But worse than terrible, it is so unoriginal, so unauthentic, so not French.
Not knocking what he did later, but this is just awful.
