the giants D has the most depth of any team in the league...and eli wins...say what you want about his numbers...he wins and he is smart and we have enough weapons on offense to get the job done...

the giants on paper right now are certainly not as good as they were last year at this time. i would be shocked if they finished ahead of the cowboys or eagles.

Soul you must be insane, they look devastating on paper. They have thee most depth on the dline, thee most depth at secondary. Their starters on dline are monstrous and the secondary is the best it has been for the Giants in years. Offensively they still have the top 3 best oline in the NFL with depth once again in the running game. Running and defense wins championships. However, unlike cowboys & Eagles fans us Giants fans don't count on paper to win superbowls.

I think that the Giants are WAY over hyped. Jacobs is good but the wide receivers are still a question mark. All in all I think the Giants are just an overrated team.

Elaborate on why they are overrated, don't just say it cause you dislike them. Please elaborate because the Giants have one of the best Olines in the NFL and one of the best Dlines in football with a highly improved Dline again and highly improved secondary. Wide Receiver is the only question mark and Linebacker positions.

They are overrated because they have nobody on offense who is going to be able to replace Burress and Toomer. You are right their D-line is spectacular. The O-line is good too, but It doesn't matter how much time Eli has in the pocket if he doesn't have anyone to throw too. The Giants were 9-1 with Burress and 3-3 without him.

The Giants have a lot of question marks, some of which match up with ours, like the receiving corps.

I don't think they're a lock for the division title. They're going to be TOUGH in Week 2, so we better be ready.

I see the NFC East putting the Redskins, Giants, and Cowboys in the dance this year, but I don't know in which order.

Let's see..Best defensive line in football, a top 3 offensive line, a BEAST Fullback that everyone is scared to go up against, the hardest running back in the NFL in Brandon Jacobs, Ahmad Bradshaw, Great secondary (which will be better when the pass rush gets to the quarterback) and what..no wide receivers makes us a bad team? every team has issues, philly has problems running the ball on short yardage gains, Pats have a mediocere secondary, the steelers had the worst offensive line in football.

Probably the best D line in the NFL.

A running game that was the best in the NFL last year.

We won the Super Bowl without Ward... We've got one of the top O lines in the NFL.

Our secondary is underrated, by a mile.

Hixon had better numbers than ANY WR on Dallas' roster, as did Smith.

Oh btw... Eli had two 300+ yard games, scoring over 21 points WITHOUT PLAX.

Also. Has any Giant WR on the roster eclipsed 1k yards, made a Pro Bowl, or scored more than say.... 5 TDs in a given season?

My point is this, the lack of a WR threat is going to impair your offense like Dallas' rushing offense did years ago with the loss of Irvin. Still had a bruising line and Emmitt Smith, didnt have the same production as defenders creeped in the box. Brandon is a big boy but is still fragile.

Let me guess, the infamous "8 sack game" that all cowboys fans uphold as proof that the Giants suck.

You might wanna check who played that game, who left that game and what condition the starters were in.

Not an excuse, Dallas played extremely well, but facts are facts.

Jacobs is fragile? If you say so. I guess we can say the same of MB. Has he played a full season as the featured back yet? Any questions on his durability?

Ask the same of YOUR WRs, since being in Dallas.

Lack of WR threat is not proven yet. Make these statements at about week 5. Also a running game is more potent than a passing attack, run to open up the pass and use screens to open up the game for the WR's. I think they will be fine with the WR's they have. Let them sleep on Barden or Nicks and one deep pass will change the look of any defense in a hurry. Jacobs is not fragile he had a twisted ankle, be for real dude. lol

great defense best D-line in the nfl period derrick ward or not we still got a pretty darn good running game and yes the wr position has taken some blows but the passing game will not be as bad as the haters think it will be trust me it will be goodenough to win football games

People seem to forget that when we won The Super Bowl in 2007, we did it WITHOUT Derrick Ward. We ran through the playoffs with Jacobs and Bradshaw.

Giants have the best D-Line and O-Line in The NFL. A GREAT RB, Pro-Bowl QB, and a bunch of fast receivers.

Our secondary is so underrated, and people don't know about them, but they will know about them soon enough.

The 2009 Giants have about 80% of the same players they had in 2007. My argument is relative here.

I have no problem with a fan being proud of their history. I'll always brag about the 5 rings. You should be proud of what your team has done. That's not the point at all.

Well, baddog, that also means you've LOST 20% of that Super Bowl team.
