he's not a poor bird. he was quite happy in there. i had to get him screaming on camera so his new owners would know. its not fair to sell them without preparing the new owners. that leads to lots of rehoming that doesnt work out. not a good life for the birds.
I agree totally! I have a Sun Conure but I worked at the pet store for 6 months with him before I bought him. The best thing I ever did. He's my baby and I love him more than anything!
he was 'defending' Memphis and his territory. he did it quite often when cameras, phones etc came in the aviary. he didnt like uch going in there except for toys and food. fair enough i supposed.
still i did it on purpose to get him to scream because i had to sell them and wanted the buyer to know because many people dont realise how peircing that scream is and then they get shuffled around never settling in which isnt what i wanted. so anyway the buyer watched and knew so was prepared for it and they are quite happy on a farm now. so its good.
they are great birds if you can stand the high pitch of their voice. i do miss my conures though and was thinking about getting a maroon bellied one as they are as playful as suns but apparentlyt less peircing when screaming.
thats what i said, if you get one i hope your a morning person and don have little brother or sister cuz they are like a little LOUD alarmclock so you better be prepared on how loud your room will become, but i love my baby jebi and i dont regret getting him they are one of the greatest pes youll ever find and they can live up to 30 years if there healthy so think about it
yeah i sold these guys to a farm and i put this up so the people interested would get an idea of what noise they make as many people buy them thinking they are cute and beautiful colours but have no idea about the noise and then the birds get moved around getting more behaviour problems at each place until they are unhomeable. so hopefully this helped them so that they will keep them forever.

That's actually pretty tame. My sun and jenday conures do a huge, full-throated scream when they get wound up.

How thoughtful. Too bad many don't practice good acquaintances with potential owners. Personality, friendliness, and health are vital.
