Vorletzte Runde sowas ist immer ärgerlich auch beim 24-Stunden-Rennen wenn man die Nacht überlebt und dann wegen einem kleinen Fahrfehler ausfällt. Aber das ist es auch, was wir am Ring lieben: Er verzeiht keine Fehler, es gibt keine 50 Meter langen Auslaufzonen und wer die 20 km beherrschen will muss sich intensiv über Jahre mit ihm beschäftigen. Problem with racing Porsches is that unlike a race car, you cannot just put a couple of new parts on a tub. Most of those cars are TOTALED once hit at 100 plus.

I tell everyone put in RACING brake fluid, don't tailgate, have fun and don't drive 10/10ths. Save that for the guys who get paid and can walk away from some elses car

Gosh... I had the EXACT same crash at the EXACT same spot in 2000, smashing my E30 M3 Evo 2 - same piece of armco, ended facing the same way. It was in the wet tough.

What happened? I was a bit too fast and took the exit of the Schwalbenschwanz carrousel a little too early. Half of the corner is concrete with a steep sideway slope, half is tarmac. When two wheels are in and two are out, the road is no longer flat and you loose all your back end grip when on the gas. Spontaneous violent spin...

Yes! On this corner, it's wise to take it like any other corner except after hitting the apex, and exiting, if you don't open up the steering, you'll snap oversteer--i've done it too, but managed to miss the armco!

Maybe I'm not seeing correctly, but it looks to me like the driver did not countersteer to the right to stop his spin-- his front wheels are pointed ahead or barely to the right when the car is headed toward the guardrail.

At the VLN races there are different flag rules. IF the marshall at the crash decides to show crossed yellow, the post before waves a single yellow and before that post comes out the yellow held still. Enough time to reduce speed and very good sight to the posts at this part of the track.

The only problem in VLN are the too many rich bastards who have money but no brain
