You are giving a responsibility to everyone. Think sir, you are pushing an agenda like anyone else. You can't tell me that my duty is to do anything, let alone give me a duty to tell people that I don't have a duty. Try to think rationally, and don't push your agendas on anyone when you claim that it is the wrong thing. Look up what the word "hypocrisy" means.
Ugh. You have completely missed the point. I am merely encouraging people who are tired of having agendas pushed on them to speak up and no longer be silenced. I am not forcing anything on anyone. I did not come to your house, put a gun to your head, and force you watch my video - you did so out of your own free will. You are free to disagree with it, but you completely missed the point.
I'm having great fun bringing myself up to date on your channel.
I totally agree with your statement above: "Theism in and of itself is not my problem; its what is done and said in the NAME of theism that I consider a crime against humanity."
If theism wasn't used as a cover for temporal power and evil deeds, I would just consider it a curiosity, and wouldn't dream of interfering with one's right to believe what they want.
BTW, you can introduce Sheeba to Sagwa with my video "Hello YouTube".
I agree that Atheists need to start speaking in one voice. The other guys are really good at simple catchy responses. We atheists babble incoherently (often highly intelligently) and it turns off the common person. As you continue on your crusade just be sure to keep it real. Good work! Oh, and Sheeba... adorable!
im not going to deny there is an aggressive religious agenda, i agree as much, i also agree that this agenda needs to be fought civilly and rationally. and if it comes down to it with violence. MY argument is theism isnt wrong. to say anything on whether or not there is a God or not is equally extraordinary. where i believe you need to go when on the attack is to liken religious figures to each other, and ask why is sin possible? show how pride, original sin defeated the church.
Well you and I actually agree here. Theism in and of itself is not my problem; its what is done and said in the NAME of theism that I consider a crime against humanity.
I am a liberal Obama delegate and a religious fundamentalist. You are off base if you think there aren't huge numbers of left leaning liberal Christian fundamentalists out there. I know the stereotypical Republican right wingers are more numerous, but our aggregate numbers are great too. I just get tired of people assuming that as soon as they hear I am a christian fundamentalist, that I am not a liberal democrat.
I don't care what your political stance is. I am glad you are an Obama delegate (I support him as well), but if you are a fundamentalist, REGARDLESS of your political loyalty, I disagree with your beliefs. I say conservatives because the majority of fundamentalist ARE republican. But republican, democrat, libertarian, socialist, whatever - if its theist, then I seek it out and disagree with it.
well liberals are known for being open-minded; religious fundamentalists are known for the opposite. i can see the confusion as bright as using premium gasoline to burn down a church.
He's talking about the averages here. True, there are exceptions to every rule, but that does not change the fact that the MAJORITY of religious fundamentalists are conservative republicans. There will always be a minority to the majority; you just happen to be in a group that is a minority. No one is arguing that.
The majority of North Americans are US citizens, but it is kinda insulting to Canadians and Mexicans to assume that they are US citizens. Same for assuming all religious fundamentalists are Republicans. Yuck. Go Obama, the candidate who seems far more religious tham McCain is.
You are known for nothing. Thats why there's confusion. From my experience, fundamentalists are irrational and close-minded. So if you're open-minded from being liberal and you're close-minded from your fundamentals...what are you? Are you a conundrum? Notice your original comment related to a tangent of the video. Basically, you complaining about getting your hair wet from the rain that caused a devastating flood is how I see your argument.
"Basically, you complaining about getting your hair wet ..."
I agree with Sara. I am a pro-choice moderate who also is a religious fundamentalist. The left always accuses the right of interjecting religion into politics, but the left does it too. Like here, assuming that religious fundamentalists will automatically be R's. I voted for Obama in the primary because Hillary's lies scared me. I haven't decided between Obama and McCain. Pushing me to the R's isn't a good plan. Some tangent.
I was referring to the original comment that had nothing to do with the video. it seemed to be just complaining about no one respecting liberal left religious fundamentalists. I agree that the left also push their views, but this is an anti-theist video with no political agenda. leave it to a theist to dwell on insignificance.

So if I am both, liberal democrat and religious fundamentalist, what am I known for? There are more of us than commonly thought.

I guess us left liberal religious fundamentalists don't see being branded as a Pat Robertson clone to be an insignificance.
