  • I blazed through your books, and I would just.. I don't know.. like to relate to you..

  • i so sorry about your live my brother is reading your book its sad but you dont want to be like your mom she needs some help

  • Why should it be made to movie? I just can't imagine that. Because no movie can explain what's written in those books, you know... Some parts must be cut, some must be shortened... I don't think it's a good idea. Reading it is better.

  • I love your books they have so much feeling they made me cry soooo hard. if there was a movie I would go and see it.

  • this book should be made into a movie it made me cry for hours

  • @DatSexyNegrita - "Like twilight new moon" ARE YOU SERIOUS ? This is not on the same level as that tripe.

  • David Pelzer should really turn his books into movies like the twilight new moon and saga 2.

  • i stoped reading this so i wouldnt cry in school but im trying to finish it

  • i love how no matter what happened hes still strong and laughs like a normal person

After a few hours i was done and immediately looked you up online. this book is truly one of the most INSPIRING books Ive read in my life. You are a hero and you made me appreciate how great my life is. You are great person and thank you for inspiring me :)

  • I love this guy ...

  • why does he always in all interviews say he eat vomit when he wrote in his book that he was made to eat shit.

  • @antibulletdodger101 he was forced to eat his own vomit after his mom forced it upon him to throw up when she thought he stole food.

  • @rabidmailman he still should mention he was forced to eat shit.

  • @antibulletdodger101 he ate vomit. he threw up and his mom put it in a bowl for him and made him eat it.

  • @longhornman40 he also almost had to eat out of a soiled diaper...

  • i heard there iss a moviee but i jus cnt find itt

  • @ChonchiizLove No i found out the movie is coming in February of next year2012

  • @jupiter5005 oohh okeii thnkk yew (:

  • @jupiter5005 It Is? Im reading The book Rite Now in School? Its Soo Sad /: Like I literally Wanna Cry.... Its So Wrong. I Cnt Believe This Dude Is The ONe IN That Book Being Abused. I Cnt Believe Thats Hiiiim. Writing About His Life Story Growing Up :(

  • plz David i love ur boook and it is realy sad and i would love to see a movie of ur book my mom went through child abuse and tryed and tries to help abused and neglected kids and if u made a movie it would be awesome to show to the young kds like us telling us not to treat our kids like how ur mom treated u

  • omg that would really be bad i feel bad that is the worst child abuse i`ve heard (;

  • i wish i could show this to my mom because she is allways mad and the common dinaminator but she would kill me

  • i wish your book was made into a movie

  • i heard of the book but never read it..after so many reviews and opinion about the book and hearing him talk about it i think imma get myself the book.

  • @emaelisa00

READ IT!!!!! whats wrong with you!!!

  • hi, im 13 & i tried reading ur book but could barely finish. it made me cry like a baby - what u went through was terrible!! i feel SO sorry for you.

  • i was ready to find that whack job psychiatrist and sock him in the face!

"you are scared of the dark yes?" and "young daniel are you with me today?" i was totally ready to rip the book right in half. he was the nut case, not you.

  • Dave how do you have a stomach after all of this. drinking and vomitting clorax bleach everyday. Your mother is going to suffer in hell for this!

  • @hippyable she should be in pain for doing this crap she was doing before. she sure is a daughter of a bitch. she needs to go to jail. thank God she is not my mother. ;(

  • @DatSexyNegrita No that's for sure. when a child is abused they are so afraid. I know. that's all I can say about that one. She should be tarred and fuckin' feathered.

  • Deffo like Robin Williams with his sense of humour. Even when I read his books there were parts, when he described made me slightly smirk, especially when he finally confronted his mother as a adult. That must have shat on her cornflakes a bit, after all that abuse. I think they call this closure in the old psycho babble lingo. GO DAVE ! :))

  • david pelzer has a way to be funny and serious at the same time. his book is so sad.

  • i read his book im on the 2cn part

  • Dave I honestly think you should turn your book into a movie.

    Your book made me cry

I could just imagine a movie.

If I knew I lived so close to you when I was in Cali I would of loved to have met you in person

Fresno wasn't that far from madera like 30 minutes away right?

But I honestly really do think you should make a movie.

  • @TheBabylocz it made me cry too

  • i want to meet him so i can give him a hug

  • Dave Pelzer.

    It got better for him.

  • I don't even know him.

But i would have traded places with him..

It breaks my heart to have read what he went through..

  • Did you ever get over it??????

  • @7chirstian Now come on how do you really get over something as traumatic as child abuse!

  • @7chirstian You know he probably did! that's strange because he said about others they need to go on. Never meant to be mean in the last comment just expressing myself that's all take care.

  • he said after that, that he was in foster care for a year and a half.

  • why does he say at the beginning that we was rescued at 12 then at 1:34 say 14?

  • A Child Called It was the best, and saddest, book I've ever read. And I have read it six times since I was 8.

  • You are a BIG inspiration!

I have read all of your books, but the one that got to me the most was you're first one, it made me cry i'm sorry for every thing that happened to you! For you to tell america what happened to you and how you have over come every thing is just so amazing it really is! I dont think many people actually know how much pain abused children see every day, and i could not even image one day in you're shoes.

    You are a great man:)!

    Take care♥

  • My students read your book and it helps them with awareness. I can't keep the books on my shelf...they connect to it in ways that fiction can't and helps them realize what to look for in problems in their environment,

  • good bless him

  • ''A child called it'' is the only book that I have read more than once, and I'm not a bookworm, at all. I read ''A child called it'' when I was 12 years old, the same age you were when you went free. You have no idea what your books mean to me, it's crazy. I've told soooo many people to read your books, I think they're so important.

You made it, Dave. You wanted to be an important person, and now you are. To millions and millions of people. You're such a great person, Dave, don't forget that!

  • your my inspiration!!! your amazing and so are your books!! your a true inspiration to so many!! God Bless You!
