  • It's like a savant aspect, that Tarantino's mind was perfectly wired specifically for cinema appreciation.

  • Deniro in Deer Hunter, the original Rambo

  • I like boxing, and I love De Niro & Scorsese, but I still find 'Raging Bull' hard to watch :/

  • for people who hate tarantino: ive got a cliff outside my house want to play near it?

  • I love tarantino's perspective.. he's not talking like a big shot hollywood director..

he's just talking about his passion, which is love for films and the art of film making ...

  • @RickRomo you're absolutely right. Tarantino is a great directo, but above all is a passionate film viewer.

  • "he ain't pretty no more.."

  • Great thoughts from Tarantino...

  • I can't find part one!

  • PBS Pure Bullshit! That's what these Hollywood weasels do. They are all full of shit!

  • "I'd be repelled any time by pimps."

  • tarantino just said everything i always tell people about taxi driver. maybe the greatest character study in film history, enough said. the man knows his job ! looking forward to his new projects.

  • "All the animals come out at night - whores, skunk pussies, buggers, queens, fairies, dopers, junkies, sick, venal. Someday a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets." That's some Rorschach shit right there!

  • Longest blow job in you tube history ,by the king himself sissy mary quentin

lets just say i appreciate his movies, you don't

    26/m/isr

have laugh on now ,,,,i'm dying to hear some irrelevant remarks ...:) tough guy

  • He's right about some people being alienated by the Taxi Driver performance, but not right about The Deer Hunter. If I remember it ran super high on many top ten lists of that year and won The Academy Award of that year beating out Apocalypse Now.

  • @thechallenger9000 Apocalypse Now didn't come out until the next year, whereas it was beaten out by Kramer Vs. Kramer (A huge fault on the academy). But the fact that the Deer Hunter won the year before no doubt played a factor in Apocalypse Now losing on the much deserved Best Picture bid, seeing that both films are about the madness spurring from the Vietnam War, just told in different fashions.

  • Nobody that smokes cock should even mention THE NAME DENIRO !

  • raging bull, taxi driver, goodfellas: all scorsese-deniro, all on the imdb top 250, all kick fucking ass

  • o anyone who has not seen the deer hunter do not watch from 3:56-5:23 huge spoilers

  • tarantino is the freak for the ''normalos''...thats why hes shit.

  • Longest blow job on you tube , Quentin win you sissy mary you "

  • This is great. One of the world's greatest directors talking about the world's greatest actor in the history of cinema.

  • @UltimateMoviesMan exactly what i was going to say lol

  • The way De Niro looks at that one Vietnamese soldier is one of the most hateful, racist gazes in cinema, it's like he nuked Vietnam just with that look. It's difficult to believe Robert De Niro isn't a hate filled racist in real life after watching that film.

  • Its not about race but the hatred. its simply the oppressed vs the oppressor

  • @PtAltmVansanTarr ever heard of method acting? besides bob has had repeatedly black girlfriends which he certainly wouldn't have had if he were a racist.

  • @PtAltmVansanTarr I'm fairly certain if a group of individuals forced you and your best friend from childhood to play russian roulette in a prison camp (after months of torture, anyway) you would be filled with hate and relief upon killing that group of people if they were french and you were french, know what I mean? Racism dosen't really have much to do with it.

  • The feeling of the first Russian roulette scene is,"fing kill those damn gooks, yeah feels good" the entire scene is flooded with racism.

  • There was equal oppression and tyranny on both sides during that war....every war in fact so war and nationalism certainly brings out the evil side of human nature

  • i really can't pick my favourite De Niro movie. The Godfather Part II, Taxi Driver, The Deer Hunter, Raging Bull, Once Upon a Time in America, GoodFellas, Cape Fear, Heat, etc. etc. etc. they are all CLASSICS!

  • @Cosmic86x I agree, although I think Cape fear starts off good, but becomes so over the top. De niro is great in it

  • that russian roulette sequence is incredible. i just saw it for the first time MY GOD

  • It's interesting. The new format. It doesn't show when you vote down only up.

  • i was always a huge fan of deniro, and am awaiting the day when he teams with either scorsese, tarantino or michael mann again. because these comedies he's doing, ain't funny to me. love tarantino and rodriguez very exciting film makers.

  • THIS ONETRASHDANCER GUY IS SECRETLY REALLY GAY. . All of his favorite videos on his youtube page are those of guys dancing and other men. Theres even one of a fucking bodybuilder with his shirt off. This pussy is such a flaming queen he comes on here and extroverts his homosexuality because he really wants to suck Quentin's cock in reality but the truth is Quentin would NEVER GET AROUND this homeless smelly disgusting crack fiend. Post this where ever you see comments by this idiot

  • you need a hug man??

  • you guys are BOTH assholes!

  • I love how people who have never made a movie have the gall to criticise someone that has succeeded in what is such a competitive industry.

  • Amen brother I so agree with you sick and tired of the haters.

  • @talbrott Very well said

  • deer hunter is deniros best

  • onetrashdancer Go fuck yourself if you dont like Quentin Tarantino then stop making comments on these vids.

  • his first movies were pretty good, but the recent ones don't really reflect the genius which we see in his early pictures.

  • @evilempire96 the thing is he doesnt need to do "good " movies anymore

sure pulp fiction and reservoir dog will be remembered if not are already classics

he can just make the movies he wants and they are good enough

  • u kidding right?

  • wow i need to watch deer hunter

  • great movie, one of Deniro's best performances. Be warned, the movie is over 3 hours and very dark and depressing

  • Your hatred of Tarantino is obsessive. At least come up with some new insults. And stop spamming every one of his videos please -- get a hobby.

  • Sorry I will do my best to entertain you !

  • A little better. I guess.

  • @marysw Who is hating on Tarantino? I dont get how someone could have any hatred on him... He is extremely intelligent about movies and already a legend in writing and film making.

    I dont get it.

  • 7.17 to 7.42

    TaraRANTino name names please?

  • 6.50

that film was made before the fuckers made weight an issue in the press

it's not an attribute to Mr De Niro

    u silly cunt.

  • I wonder why Tarantino likes these movies when hes only doing immature movies himself.

  • cause these movies are an inspiration to all movies. and tarantino's movies may be immature, but there defenetly clever and witty, as he has taken elements of tension and suspense and dialogue into that can be seen in these movies.

  • @astropolia How are his movies immature?

  • He's right about Raging Bull. I never realised why I like it so much, it's because it's so tragically funny.

  • Wow. that Russian Roulette scene is intense.

  • what about DeNiro in 'Rocky and Bullwinkle'?!? ...yah.. he did amasing things with that role... not

  • That he did .

  • That and Pacino in Cruising ..A career highlight for each !

  • God forbid anyone talks in-depth about the works that inspired them. That's not cool. Right onetrashdancer?

  • It depends whom it inspired , this huge sissy mary ,shot his load after two movies , now he is OVER fruit cake is on American Idol next dancing with the stars QT cha cha cha

  • QT knows what he's talking about. he is verbal and interesting

  • does anyone else notice that quentin says alright alot

  • @bignoisematt Yes, he does say "alright" alot. He still do. Just watch ANY interview with him and he say "alright" all the time. Especially when he is excited about something. Thats when the "alright" meter goes up xD Now, I am a huge fan of the cinema legend Quentin Tarantino , but I think it is weird he hasn't been parodied yet. As it gotta be easy to parody him. Say "alright" a thousand times xD

  • got dam i gotta watch the gambit of deniro movies again, especially deerhunter and raging bull

  • did you speed up the voice or something?

  • It's in PAL format.

  • roberto duran & bobby de niro careers run parallel, one the greatest lightweight on the planet knocking the shit outta everyone, peaking beating sugar ray leonard in 1980. the other trailblazing as the greatest up coming actor in landmark films, peaking with oscar in 1980. both had great moments in 1980"s but nothing to replicate the 70"s!

  • QT at his most talent blowing actors he shines at it ,you sissy ass mary

  • I have a lot of respect for Tarantino as a director...but how wrong is he about Raging Bull and Taxi Driver being "comedies"? Those are both brilliant movies, but I don't remember laughing even ONCE while watching either of them. There are one or two subtly humourous moments, but the tone of both films is far too dark for those moments to illicit laughing out loud. American Psycho - THAT'S a good example of a movie which both extremely dark and very funny.

  • de niro's actually come out and said the same thing, that there was a humour to taxi driver. not cartoon humour like american spycho, but the whole character and his absolute sense of seriousness and patheticness at times was funny, but in a holy-shit-these-people-exist-and-are-on-every-street-in-every-city-and-the're-not-obvious-psychos-but-could-easily-blow-at-the-smallest-trigger kinda funny.

  • exactly. especially when he takes that girl on the first date to a porno theatre. lol. thats wat he meant by humerous

  • the best scene of the cinema mao

  • it's true and i thought he especially knew about the cinema of the 1970s but i saw an interview of him and he knows a whole lot about the movies of 1940s and 50s, the guy is an encyclopedia

  • taxi driver is too good

  • Apparently Travis in the movie saw himself as a Jesus Christ figure - cleansing the world around him, but through violence instead of love. Also the attempt to 'save' the prostitute - like Mary Magdalene I guess.

This all according to a great Scorsese interview. He puts that bloody finger to his brain at the end (see 1:55 here) because he was totally self-destructive (obviously), he feels he should have died like Jesus did.

  • Taxi Driver is like a realistic, subtle superhero movie, showing how a man is disgusted by his surroundings and feels that he should do something about it. One of the best films I have watched, easily.

  • I say Raging Bull by a hair. Should have won best picture.

  • At least DeNiro won the award for it. And it's #4 on AFI's most recent greatest movies list.

  • qt is a crazy motherfucker but he knows his shit.

raging bull and taxi driver were hilarious

  • I prefer Taxi Driver. It's such a richly, deep and brilliantly disturbed film.

  • Agreed. It's an amazing video. Robert DeNiro plays the part so well, you start to feel bad for him in the movie. It's good stuff.

  • i cant decide what's better, raging bull or taxi driver?

  • Taxi Driver by a landslide.

  • techniqually raging bull is a better achievement on an artistic basis, but Taxi Driver is a much more personal, deeply affecting, masterpiece in my opinion.

  • i can never tel how is the correct way to rate a movie.

should a movie be considered great based on its technical and artistic quality, or on its personal effect on the viewer.

for example, platoon was definitely a well made movie, but full metal jacket had a much more personal effect on me.

  • you cant rate a movie accurately.. in the end its all down to personal opinion.

much like music or art or any art form.

its easy to see what are the best movies of the past.. just look at the top 250 movies on imdb or something.. if enough people say a movie is amazing.. well it cant be bad.

in the end.. if you like a movie.. its a good movie.

if you dislike a movie... well it still might be good to someone.

  • as chilly22 said its all down to personal opinion, i believe if a movie affects you on a personal level and you can relate to it in someway, then that should out weigh techniqual brilliance. In Platoon/Full Metal Jackets case i would totally agree. I love stones movie its very well made, but as you said before kubricks movie is much more personally affective and thats why i prefer it.

  • @Gazs93 completely agree...to me raging bull and taxi driver are his best films...i know a lotta ppl like goodfellas and casino more, i guess because they appeal to a larger audience but from an actors standpoint what he did in raging bull and taxi driver, they are 2nd to none

  • @cs00024

I personally thing his acting in the Raging Bull is the best role ever done by any human being...

  • man, it would be awesome if tarantino remade taxi driver with ed norton.

  • sounds interesting, but some classics are best left in their original form, especially taxi driver.

  • no, it should stay classic, its a very good movie

  • it was, and still is a great movie. perhaps doing a remake in such a manner, is like steave harvey doing the life story of richard pryor. some things aren't meant to be duplicated.

  • yea...

  • it really wouldn't be

  • It's timeless, it doesn't need a remake

  • perhaps. it couldn't ever be as good as the 1st. besides, they're too many remakes anyway.

  • yeah like that new Pelham 123.

  • no doubt they where banking on the people who loved inside man and swordfish when they did the casting for that one.

  • Or anybody who likes Michael Bay movies or most of the other kids my age without any taste. Well, at least Inside Man was ok

  • i could've skipped seeing halle berry's lopsided tits. however, i've seen worse. remember that wolverine trilogy they panned off as the x-men? to be quite honest, michael bay couldn't direct a commercial for cooking knives.

  • kool dude

  • Your videos rule

  • "I'm gonna make his mother wish she never had him"--funniest line ever...

  • mean streets , raging bull, godfather 2, deer hunter, king of comedy, once upon a time in america, jacknife, new york new york, bronx tale, jackie brown, goodfellas, the untouchables, midnight run, backdraft, heat, true confessions, casino, this boys life, angel heart, stanley and iris, brazil, last tycoon, great expectations, the score, 15 minutes, and several 100 million dollar comedies like meet the parents, analyze this etc

10 movies in the top 100 all time

    deniro= untouchable

  • You missed my favorite: Taxi Driver. I agree, though, he is untouchable.

  • Ronin = awesome

  • How did you miss Taxi Driver his greatest performance ever.

  • QT is a sharp guy, but I can't figure how someone as observant as him can make such emotionally shallow films.

  • Its Not Shallow if you really watch.

he presents his films like that as a style.

its almost ALWAYS. the main charecters are emotionless almost assholes if you will. while the secondary charecters are overly emotional.

for instance mr blonde in reservoir dogs. he cuts a cops ear off without blinking while the cop crys and begs for his life.

    its a simple formula.

next time you watch a tarantino film look for the formula. you'll see it like 90% of the time =D

  • i liked true romance though real realstic..

  • True Romance is a great screenplay by Tarantino. It's a great film by Scott. But one thing it is not is, realistic. Anything to do with Tarantino is a love of film and takes place in a film universe, but never do his characters come from real life, yes, even Jackie Brown(which has more relation to Scarface than real life). Not to say he's not brilliant, but he is not to be confused with creating real like characters.

  • what was not realistic about true romance? think about it. thats the brilliance of the movie. its a great story you almost think its fiction but then when you think about it again it s real realistic. thats why its called "true" romance

  • The first half is a wet dream of a comic book geek about himself, even Tarantino has said this. And the whole mexican shootout is so over the top it could of stared Bruce Willis topless with a uzi.

but just to make myself clear, I do love the film.

  • why cant a callgirl fall in love with a comicgeek? its possible.

its not a mexican shoot out its a ittalian shoot out with cops and bodyguars of a movieproducer.

you think its unrealitsic that those storylines came togehter like that in the end with the shoot out? ok i can see that.. but still overall

  • deer hunder is no doubt one of the best movie ever made, anywhere in the world.

  • Bobby was great until he became a fucking joke, why because of that for sale sign on his face, takes anything and does anything for the coins, and he already is rich, so why? This same mother fucker wouldn't give anyone and interview back in the days when he was great, now forget about it, his next movie will be with Spike Lee>>>>>>

  • I liked Jackie Brown but I agree - De Niro has sold out big time doing pathetic roles like in meet the parents.

  • ridiculous, de niro is known as great, on of the if not the greatest actor of our generation, you know nothing, de niro is doing what he does best, and no matter who the director, doesnt change his acting, he is great, ridiculous to assume otherwise

  • Jacki Brown is amazing....remember, people wanted to work with Tarantino a lot! Also, perhaps De Niro WANTS to do what he has come to do....we forget that actors may want to try other things, not just what WE want them to do??

  • tarantino=underground sensation

  • rotten canoe..."best film was meet the fockers??

u obvoiusly kno nothin of films

unless you jus wrote that comment to wind people up...if u did.....fuck you lol

  • I like other movies more, but nothing top his performance in "The Deer Hunter"

  • Yeah RIGHT... His best movie is Meet The Fockers..what the fuck is your guys's problems?

  • lmfao

  • you are talkin straight out of your ass!

meet the fockers his best movie?

    are u fuckin stupid?

    you must be.

just watch all the classics that Robert De Niro starred in for example The Godfather Part 2,his perfomance was one of the best performances he's ever done probably THE BEST.

    DUMBASS DO UR HOMEWORK

AND LEARN BEFORE U FUCKIN TALK SHIT

MEET THE FOCKERS IN COMPARISON TO OTHER MOVIES HE'S DONE IS A PEACE OF SHIT.

  • What you talking about? Analyze That is even better!

  • my fave De niro films

    Taxi Driver

    Raging bull

    cape fear

    mean streets

    goodfellas

  • what happened to his performance in the godfather part 2

don't you think that was brilliant?

i think that should another fave of yours:

    the godfather part 2.

  • Ahh tarantino before the swollen ego
