well..jazz hollow body guitars...when turned up....there is a feed back probelm...so..higher on volume less on bass...and also MID...shall be at 9 o'clock since jazz box is almost acoustic guitar...trebble is not passed 12:00 .....
I use POLYTONE BRUTE II amp...100 watts.
If you notice....lots of guitar players play the melody on the higher strings...but if you listen to Wes Montgomery ...it is the lower string with fat sound that captures the guitars melodic sound....good luck.
again...for bass level it depends on your overall volume...higher the volume lower the bass....never over 12:00 for jazz boxes...may be even on 9:00 oclock...because you use heavier strings...hopefuly 11's or even 12's..that's what I use....and not much reverb...may be bearly on 2...you need to use the body sustain..if it's a well made guitar with solid top....
nice performance...great kenny Burrell feel.

ah thanks, you've helped alot.
because normally i play with the mid around half way, treble about 2/3, bass about 2/3, what would you recommend for the bass?
