Honestly dont run the led strips off the fan power get it from a 12v source, like your dvd drive power. when you use all those adapters your losing the power to one of the fans with the older pins.

One of my fans stopped working for my XBOX. I opened it up to see what was wrong, so I'm hoping to get some new fans; and this are the only I could find. I have a couple of questions. will my xbox be OK if I use the Nyko TempSmart cooler with only one stock fan working and the X-Clamp fix mod? Or should I get this fans? it's just that I don't live in the US, so buying through internet isn't my fave option.

hmmm, the a/v connector on the console might be broken? or if youve been messing around with the internal components, maybe you forgot to hook all the wires back up properly, i.e. the dvd drive?

make sure youre on the right input and assuming thatd be the first thing youve dont, then you may have a deffective a/v cable, borrow a friends and see if theirs works and if it does then you know yours is defective

Can you wire these Talismoon Whisper Fans to an external 12v power adapter? that you can plug it into the wall. Would it be better to do that rather than getting the 12 volts from the xbox to power the fans.

hmm good question, i would say its nothing you did because if one fan works, then you know itsg getting power... could be deffective, thats all i can think of, try contacting the seller and letting them know it doesnt work and see if you can get it replaced

you will not have to do any drilling. inserting the fans and the switch is a rather simple task.

then you dont even need an adapter, simply plug the fan into one side of the lights(4-pin female into a 4-pin male) and then then other 4-pin(i forget if its male or female) goes directly into the fan power source

the total approximate cost of the fan and the leds was around $20 USD. The fan was about $15 USD on eBay and the leds were about $5 USD.
