  • the 1979-1991 Mercury Colony Park was assembled in

    St. Louis, Missouri

    St. Thomas, Ontario

  • I seen a 1960 model in the background of Stephen King's 1971 movie, DUEL.

I can't find ANYONE that has/owns that particular year...

  • would you like to sell it? contact 414-873-7525

  • That is a shame, but I can apprecciate your decision. Unless someone has the bucks to restore it, sinking money into a monepit of a car is not worth it. They are still great cars. Ford made the best wagons espcially the Mercurys. The wagons made in the 70's with the 460 big block and the C6 was the best combination.

  • @drafthorselover They are great cars. I loved the ones from the 70's. I agree that drivetrain combo was excellent!

  • With some work, it would be back to snuff. The Ford wagons were bullet proof. Hope you bring it back to specs. You will thank yourself when you do.

  • @drafthorselover It was a great car but i dont have it anymore unfortunately. It still ran great but it needed too much work.

  • @buickguy1 man i was about to ask you to sell me the tailgate lol.my dad has an 88 and is in beutiful condition in and out but a while back someone backed into the tail gate and dent it a little and your wagon has the exact color .my dads is all leather in great condition and also the roof material looks new .he got it for 600 bucks from a rich man in zuma beach ca.that wagon came with 150 hp and about 280 to 300 torque.slugish runners but super strong for cargo like diesel trucks

  • Well start it up man! Wanna hear that beautiful machine run :) I don't care what anyone says, I want one of those and treat it like my baby.

  • @Canuckboy123 I have other vids of it starting and driving check them out!

  • @Canuckboy123 hell yeah i am with u there buddy

  • I have one now, got it for $350. Its dying on me, but I love it to death. When it dies, Im going to keep in it the hopes that one day I'll be able to bring it back to life.

  • @krazeekatz2010 It was a sad day when i had to trade mine in because it was falling apart. but it still ran well. Just watch for heater core and power steering problems. Those seem to be common. But the 5 liter v8 is great. I hope you can put new life into it!

  • Very nice wagon. I hate Ford for killing Mercury. Mercury's had class! Thanks for showing it off. I have put it on my "The Station Wagon Show!" playlist.

  • @WC3POchannel10A I appreciate you putting my wagon in your playlist. I wish mercury was still going to be in the lineup. I hate it too that they are killing it off. Mercury was always a nice make.

  • $800 is the sticker price of those 4 wheels alone... great buy.

In its day the only car with bigger interiour space was the Lincoln Town Car; cargo space was surpassed by none.

I'm a Dodge fan, but I fell for a Colony as well. It's like hauling stuff whilst sitting in your living room.

Drive it untill the wheels fall off, cheers.

  • @Nomasain TY i will. Yes the wheels are worth alot. Mine are in pretty good shape especially the back ones. No flaking or anything. And it is so comfy. I had a lincoln towncar as well a few years back. a 1989. That was a great car. There are a few dodges i like. We all have our preferences!

  • Nice Mercury :)

  • @Laurelslx Thank you. I like your '84 Country Squire. Keep it! It will serve you well.

  • @buickguy1

I will :) I tried to sell it couple of times but luckilly nobody bought it.. It has been serving me well since 2008, in winter and summer... In winter we have temperatures from 0 to -40 celsius sometimes...

  • @Laurelslx Damn too cold lol. mine has done well in the cold as well. But you cant beat that 302 V8.

  • My posi broke, 5 people drove my '90 before I picked it up for $125.00 back in 2006 had about 90,000 miles on it and was stolen twice before from other

owners, wish I could find a better one I'd

put a powerstroke diesel in and really have a neat ride, nice car, my uncle had a

    '87 C. Squire LX .

  • They are great cars and rare now. production for your 1990 was only 4450! There were only 8665 1989's made. I saw your vid looks like you were having fun in the snow.

  • a true classic

  • Thank you. I hope to have it a long time.

  • Nice car! I have a 89 Country Squire that I still have going on six years! Seen better days but it runs. I'm hoping to get it restored soon.

On a side note-It seems the wood paneling looks better on the Colony Park than the Country Squire. Just a observation.

I hope the car lasts for many years to come!

Thanks for the show and tell.

  • Thanks man. I saw yours it looks like its still in good shape.I see yours has the rare trip computer. mine just has the time/date one. Yes the wood paneling on the CS is different. Its darker. Yours has the clearcoat paint and its known for peeling over time. Lets keep 'em running!

  • had a 1988 Colony Park, they are great cars..........good Choice!!!

  • Cool man too bad you dont have it anymore. yes they are great cars! 88 was the first year for the more rounded front end.

  • Just got one for 600 bucks, 89 crown vic wagon and starting to like it more than I should.

  • Cool man and yes you will love it. Is it in good shape? Is it the regular one or the LX model?

  • Its the base model. Just added aftermarket wheels, tinted windows. and a new dash pad. Have plans to change the engine this winter but the old one still runs great. It also has a factory limited slip rear end. FUN

  • Hope you enjoy it. It will do well for you. The posi rear end is important.

  • Thats too bad but they can take a beating. Hitting a deer and no damage! todays cars would fold up like tinfoil. I remember the fenders being sharp like weapons.

  • Thats cool. i had an 83 grand marquis sedan a long time ago. The styling didnt really change much. it got a face lift in 88 when the front end got more rounded and different speedo/fuel guage style.

  • my unce has this car.

  • Thats cool what year? not many around!

  • same year as yours.

  • Thankyou. more vids on the way!

  • Nice Job!
