Planned Parenthood's obligations are to the patient. If they suspect a 15 yr old really has been raped, they would report it. But if she is in a relationship with a 23 yr old, although ill-advised and illegal for the man, if Planned Parenthood were to report every single case, without regard to the emotional maturity of the woman or her specific situation, then girls would be fearful of seeking any kind of medical help for fear of getting their boyfriends (whom they love) in trouble.

There is a difference between Pro-life and anti-abortion as i am one of the few Pro-lifers that actually understands that there may be circumstances where abortion is appropriate. For instance, if carrying the baby means that both the mother and the baby will die, it is best to try and save at least one of the lives.

I work in a reproductive health clinic This is way the statutory rape laws were explained to me:

We're not allowed to ask how old their partner is- and if they disclose that information, we can't report it. But if they willingly tell you, you have to report it.

Trust me people, the number of adults having sex with teens is innumerable. I don't blame PPH staff for turning the other cheek. Its about 10 pages or so of paperwork for just one case.
