True, the best way to learn is to just study. You don't want tabs for everything or you'll just sorta sound like someone else and still not just like em and you won't have your own style. You'll be left flat if someone ever wants to have a jam with you.

This is very similar to the main riff of "Knock Me Down", and I think it's more possible that he played to Knock Me Down riff than Knocking On.. but you're right, the scale is the same.. the same like many other songs.. so he could play "John's version of the all songs in E, D, C scale.."

Tone comes from the Wood, Pickups and the amp that you are using. Not the tuning heads. That statement is pretty dumb.

Fender 60's strats have these kinds of tones because of the beautiful PAF pickups.. Those were the stock pickups then.

Tone comes mostly from the FINGERS and the PERSON playing the guitar. John could play a lump of shit guitar and make it sound good. His right hand strums very hard, his right hand frets the strings very intensely, and he does all this without losing composure or groove. That's why he is a world class player.

Nope. The tone comes from the WOOD, TRUE BYPASS PEDALS, YOUR AMP AND MOSTLY YOUR PICKUPS.

Tell me, how could your fingers have the tone? What if John played the "lump of shit guitar" and had bad pickups and had messed up wirings? Haha what kinda tone can his FINGERS give? Nothing. It's all in the guitar, and John strums hard because he felt the tone that he had with the guitar that's why he's emotions are showing while he strums.

Bullshit man, ofcourse a lot of tone comes from those things but you get a lot of tone from how you strum and finger the strings. There's a pretty good interview of srv on here where he talks about the very thing. One example that comes to mind is funky monks, try play that with soft strumming and fingering and it will sound totaly different than the way it would if you played it gently.

You seem to be trying to show off your technical knowledge of a guitar, but learn how to play one first...
