  • I would put that water bottle n the floor duder, better safe ya' know...a little condensation could ruin your day...those are the quiltiest veneers ever !!! is it me or do the PRS's with veneers sound muddy ? nice playing...

  • @mineheadX1 Veneers are basically microscopic in the wood working realm. Especially guitars. They have no effect on tone, what so ever.

  • any good for metal? I'm a little worried about the pickups and the action of the guitar :/

  • @Smit2k11 what kind of metal? I've got the same guitar in blue, it plays neoclassical stuff pretty decently. also, the amp you've got will have a big impact on your sound.

  • Hey man, i just go a PRS SE Custom 24 and i love it! Only problem is that im having problems keeping it in tune when i use the tremolo. When i tune it up to pitch, It goes sharp and when i tune down to pitch, it stays in tune when i use the tremolo but goes out of tune when bending strings?

  • @SuperGuitarMark Tune the strings in a different order. Like this. Tune the low E, then the G. Then tune the A an B. then the D and high E. That is a even way of tuning. Once the strings are stretched, you should be able to tune them however. Floating, non locking trems like that will always have that issue, but it is easy to fine tune it. Also, make sure you lube the nut slots and saddles. I'm going to send you a video about how I set up my trems.

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 Did you block the trem to make it non floating (dive only)? I noticed you drop tuned without having to adjust other the 5 strings and the only way I was able to do that on my guitar with trem was to install a blocker between the springs. It works great and this is on a locking nut floyd. BTW, how does your PRS hold up overall compared to the LP you have been playing in recent videos?

  • OK...thanks. I'll keep the stock for now. Love this guitar!!

  • Just bought one myself. I got the orange one. PRS. Great guitars hands down.

  • Did you keep the stock pickups? I was thinking of replacing the bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB......not sure if it would sound better than the stock pickup. What's your opinion?

  • @magicalalan1 Yes, I kept the stock pickups. I'm sure it'll be an improvement overall, but I love the tone of the stock pickups.

  • it stays in tune?????? Fender american strat vs PRS SE Custom 24

  • @kingmonster12 Yeah, if you lube the nut and string it the proper way. There are little tricks to these tyoes of trems.

  • I am curious as what the main differences between this and the new santana se would be besides 2 frets and some shape to the santana top

  • I have this guitar in blue and its amazing but i wouldnt go so far as to say its better than a gibson

  • this or jackson dxmg plzzz hlp

  • hey man, if you were to spend that much money again, would you buy another one of these? is there any other gutiar that you would prefer for the same price?

  • @rockrefugee If I had the money, I wouldn't buy another one because I love variety, but for the cash, if I didn't have one already, I would but this. No other guitar out there that I have played, has compared.

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 buy any ltd in that price range and you'll have a guitar thats 1,000 times better. high end prs are good but a lot of the se series arent that great. if youre gonna get one get one with a stop bar not with a trem these come out of tune very fast. i loved my se for about a month before realizing i hated more things than i liked about it.

  • @TheCollisionofworlds Opinions are opinions. The guitars are apples to oranges. My trem stays in tune perfectly. You have to know how to set them up up properly, if you want to use them extensively. There are tricks to keep strat style tremolos in tune. And the LTD's I have played, have not been up to par as far as craftsmanship and quality of hardware/woods.

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 play one thats in the price range of these guitars. anything from 400 to 1000 try out an mh-401. i swapped out the emgs that were in mine for alnico 2s but its still wayyyyyyyyyy better than the pos prs i had

  • @TheCollisionofworlds I've tried tons of those man. I would not be arguing if I have not. I've played them from the lowest end LTD'd up to the ESP custom shops and everything in between. Nothing special to me.

  • Hey man, nice playng ^^

I Bought this guitar about 3 months ago, but it lose tunnig easy, do you have the same problem?

  • WHOOO-HOOOO!!!! Just got mine TODAY and I think I have fallen in LOVE! <3

  • @iluvmysoldier2223 Awesome! How do ya like it?

  • What do you think of this guitar compared to others you've played? Thinking about getting it..

  • @Bellarc007 Get it! It is up there with modern production Gibsons, as far as detail goes. Heck, the quality control on these are far better than Gibsons. And these are Korean guitars. Every SE I have played has been consistant and they are amazing guitars for the money.

  • I ordered this guitar...Should be here ANYDAY and I cannot WAIT!!!! =)

  • @iluvmysoldier2223 You will no be disappointed!

  • how do you find the whammy bar?did you fit/need locking tuners?it definitely appeals to me/rather than a floyd rose (all the faffing about).nice video and a nice guitar ;-)

  • @racefaceec90 The bar came with it man. The trem does not stay in tune as well as a floyd, but it is MUCH more stable if that makes sense. If you bend a note, it does not throw the other strings out of tune as bad as a floyd. Locking tuners would help definately, and a new nut would. (Graphite)

    Thanks man!

  • How does the bugera 333xl sound at bedroom volumes????

  • what amp are you rockin

  • @12345zxcvbnmasdfghjk

Looks like either a Bugera 333 or 333XL

  • Dude does this guitar have active pickups?

  • @vekerra Passive man.

  • Im trying to get a fatter sound then my Fender standard, I'm trading a Epiphone les paul plus top I can get this, guitar (09 not anniversary) or an ESP LTD deluxe H-1000 which would you recommend I would need to throw ~ an extra 100 at the esp. I Play blues classic rock techno jazz hard rock.

  • @BinaryReaper The Custom 24 for sure man. The ESP's are more of a "Shred" guitar and have super thin necks, flat fingerboards, EMG's, floyds, etc.

The PRS can do anything under the sun. It can do shred, jazz, blues, metal, rock, and im sure techno but I dont know any. lol

    I hope that helps man!

  • people put band posters because they feel inspired by that band, like black label society, so I guess the confederate flag inspires you rite?

  • @curthaynes People put up posters of bands because they enjoy them and, yes, because they are inspired by them. That rebel flag is a Lynyrd Skynyrd flag. They are a big influence on my playing. I also enjoy the southern hospitality that it represents. And I am by no means racist.

  • Dude you have my dream set up! Amazing tone and stellar playing bro. Most deff gunna pick up the PRS within the week.

  • @GuitarPlayerJordan Thanks man :) You are gonna love it, guaranteed!

  • great playing bro. im so getting 1 of these babys.. rock on!!

  • @TheMitchtuber Sweet man! You will love it for sure.

  • @Crazyswedish theres isn't a contoured heel if thats what you're asking, it's a flat back and a flat top

  • @Crazyswedish There is a tummy cut.

  • This guy looks like him haha. no offense or anything lol.

  • @Panterallica1 I dont take that as offense man. That dudes a big inspiration to me :)

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 i agree. go check out some of my guitar vids. i got the same exact guitar but i took out the humbuckers and put in some EMG pickups. it has a really heavy sound to it.

  • @Panterallica1 Sweet man. I checked it out. I dont think I am going to change my pickups for a very long time. I am pleased with them enough. I may rewire it with a RS kit and in the far future throw some bareknuckles in there.

  • Ronnie Van Zandt

  • @Panterallica1 What about the man?

  • @Panterallica1 What about the man?

  • Did you have to do much adjusting with the trem?

  • @jdawg00100 For the 11-52 gauge strings, yes. But it just requires a screwdriver to make the trem level and some action adjustment.

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 Awesome man, i'm ganna pick up a blue one soon. These kind of guitars are just too sick to not try out

  • At 1:27 were you playing Desert of Song by BTBAM?

  • @CrazyVersusSane Yes sir :)

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 What a badass.

  • @CrazyVersusSane Haha thanks bro!

  • I contacted P.R.S. and had them send me a pick guard, that would fit, took a saw to it and took off the part that went between the two pickups, so that it would be even with the bottom of the two pickups and installed it. Looks factory and takes the abuse and scratches that would be on my finish.

  • @LordOfThisWorld74

Yes, that helps a bunch. I was thinking about getting one, but I heard about some reliability issues and I wanted a couple of opinions. Thanks!

  • @Hylianmetroid No problrm buddy, anytime!

  • @LordOfThisWorld74, is that a Bugera 333XL you are playing through? how long have you had it? And does it give you any problems?

  • @Hylianmetroid I have had it for a few weeks shy of a year. This Christmas, it will be a year old. The only problem is the pilot light burned out on the power switch and the preamp tubes are getting microphonic, but thats all problems that tube amps experience. The pilot light is just a LED. Hope that helps man!

  • What's the difference between this guitar and the PRS SE Paul Allender signature?

  • @RobinIvarsson I believe the body edges on the Allender are rounded. Gold Hardaware on his sig, bat inlays, different neck style (I think). The newer Allender model has EMG's.

  • youre an amazing player!

    awesome guitar too

  • Does anyone know if this guitar has much sustain?

  • @SH4RK136 A TON of sustain!

  • That is a hot looking SE, the top is incredible! I can hardly see the bookmatching seam!

  • @andy474x I know man. Its a veneer over a solid maple cap but the veneer is very well bookmatched. Its easyt to see te seam in person but it is bookmatched so well :)

  • love your style of playing man!!!! g

  • ey duuuuuude , you got taste:) paul reed smith anyway builds the beste guitars ever :D but this one is sepcial!! :-)

  • @stefanchen86ify Haha very special :) PRS guitars are the best !

  • Nice axe!! I can´t wait for getting one!!

Quick question, would you recommend the Paul Allender model?

It looks great and PRS SE are real quality guitars for their price and ,yes they sound much better than the new Gibsons.

Please reply me,´cause this doubt is killing me!!

  • @VanishaGlamChick6 I have never played the Paul model, but the specs are similar. The finish is different, different pickups I believe, different inlays, gold hardware. But the basic concept is the same. Any PRS SE is a sweet deal. If you have the extra money, check out the Torero. Its a whlole different beast. Orig floyd, EMGs, Neck through, ebony board, locking tuners i think... not sure. I really hope this helped! :)

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 Yep, i saw the brand new Torero models, they seem like a very good deal, but i don´t think i´ll have the extra money for an axe like that right now, it´s on my plans to getting one, but since i´m a student i think i´ll start with the SE model.

I really liked the variety of tones this guitar can achieve.

Thanks a lot for you tips, it helped me a lot!!

  • @VanishaGlamChick6 No problem! Any time :)

  • Excellent demo! I'm sold.

  • Are you running any effects in this?

  • Yeah was planning on getting that guitar changed my mind for the PRS SE Mikael Akerfeldt Signature. You should try it, it's amazing!

Also what amp is that can't really it really well...

    Thanks!

  • cant make mine prs se custom 24 25th anniversary guitar sound like that :(

  • This is not a Custom 24. It's a SE Custom 24.

    That's a big difference!

  • @Ghostflasher I know that. Thats exactly why it says in big white letters on the headstock, SE :)

  • @LordOfThisWorld74

But it's not mentioned in the vid title bro ;-)

  • @Ghostflasher Fixed, sorry about that man :)

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 Who cares if it's not mentioned, why are you apologizing like fuck who cares, if your seriously looking for a Custom 24 then you will know the difference whether it's in the title or not, fucking idiots piss me off not you World74.

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 Heyy mann!!

could u pls tell me what "kind" of frets goes the se custom 24 have?

    thanx bro.

  • @furymrqry Medium Jumbo I think, man. Don't quote me on it, I won't have mine until next week. The maple top looks KILLER on mine, just like this guy's. Some of them don't have that much fire. Just look before you leap on the wood. These guitars are SICKKKK.

  • @furymrqry the scale length is 25" i have this guitar and i would say they are kinda medium.

  • @deathblade7 25.5 ;)

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 how's the wide thin neck on this? I really like the wizards of Ibanez, but I'm contemplating on getting this or the Ibanez RGR321EX.

  • I am thinking about a purchase. How would you compare the PRS Custom 24 to an Ibanez ARX320 (or similar Ibanez) or the Schecter C-1? The ARX320 is about $200 less and the Schecter is about $100 than the PRS Custom 24.

  • @wavemanmav Personally I would take the PRS over either of those. Lower end Ibanez's tend to use crappy hardware, woods and stale necks and as for the Schecter's, they're good but the Floyd system (depending on whether it has it) is more of a pain in the ass than it's worth unless your dive bombing constantly... even then they're so annoying.

  • That is a really nice guitar, and I hear it's built great for the price. How would you rate the stock pickups though in terms of output and thickness/fatness of tone, especially for the realm of playing metal? Similar to a Duncan JB, or even EMG?

  • @ctalbert1 Man, its built incredibly. It honestly blows most, if not all modern production Gibson guitars. Gibsons quality has really gone down hill. But anyway, back to the subject, this guitar is built SO good. Perfec attention to detail, and 0% flaws in it all. Anyway, lol about the pickups. They are really unique. Its like their really top endy and chunky all at the same time. Its really all in how you articulate your picking. Thats the only way to explain it. Their really versatile

  • @ctalbert1 and articulate. They have a similiar "cutting through" quality that EMG's have but they have a warmer more organic sound than EMG's. Think, Lamb of God. Thats really how I can expalin it, so more like SD's. Their perfect for solos. The neck pickup is really warm and sounds like an Alnico. It may be? Im not sure if it is, but its warm and soft sounding and if you crank the gain, you can get some Dimebag style neck tones. Hopw that helped man! Oh and they so any style ;)

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 Great, thanks for the info! So would you say that overall this guitar is a nice middle ground between the shreadability of an Ibanez, and thick chunky rhythm tone of an old school Gibson LP? Also, is the neck thick enough for someone with big hands and fingers?

  • liking the selkies bit

    genuinely considering buying this guitar

  • @riskygerbil92 Please please please do! :) You WILL NOT regret it man, I promise you. If you do, I give you permission to gives a thumbs down to all of my videos lol

  • I love the guitar, i love the color its really badass.

  • Considering selling my Ibanez RG 2550Z Prestige for this or SE Torero...any insight in to what differences/improvements I will notice? My main gig is playing at church, but at home it's all hard rock/metal...so I need versatility. This thing just looks so pretty and sounds killer too. Just wondering if I'll miss the double-locking trem...which can be a pain when you want to drop-d and whatnot. Thanks!

  • Do you know how much does it cost to install the tremolo lock thingy to this guitar? Because im told that it goes out of tune pretty easily if you use too much the whammy bar..

  • @mashafasha5 A locking nut? Not sure. Dont even know if itd work on this type of trem. I dont know much about trems at all. This one is great though, really smooth and does not go out of tune at all. You just have to stretch in the strings :)

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 Ok thanks :D

  • @mashafasha5 True of any trem really, but you can always install locking tuners. One thing I will say is that this PRS and its trem is no worse than any other trem of its type on any other guitar.

  • @klummster88 PRS' really have good trems. Their just built good and you can tell by looking at it

  • Wow man you're a really good player! i wish i could play that smoothly on a clean setting haha. im thinkin of gettin' me one of these guitars. looks like they are pretty amazing.

  • I'm guessing just from your set up that your a BTBAM fan what with the MESA head and a PRS and that was before you started playing desert of song that i guessed that hahah

  • @wakerkid08 Haha its not a mesa! It doe slook like one though, I can see why you would get confused, and the lead channel sounds alot like one which is weird, because the rectifier is SS and the tubes are EL34's not 6L6's. It shouldnt sound like a Mesa but it does! And the crunch channel sounds like a Marshall ;) Im a HUGE BTBAM fan by the way. I went and saw them live a little while back, amazing concert and CRAZZZZY moshpits haha. Thank you!!

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 I bet that was a sick show, I was going to see them but I am broke unfortunately so not show, but they'll come back around so whatever and that's interesting about the amp, thanks for the clarification though

  • @LordOfThisWorld74

    this is bad because? lol

  • @StaulkHolm Whats bad?

  • @LordOfThisWorld74

you said it shouldnt sound like a mesa but it does lol. i was joking, badass playing man. \m/

  • @StaulkHolm Ohhhhh yea lol. Because it has EL34's and is supposed to be kinda British voiced lol. Not american voiced like Mesas are with their 6L6's haha. Thanks man!

  • @LordOfThisWorld74

that rig sounds so nice. it does have a very mesa like quality. i use an ENGL invader 100 with an orange 4x12 and a Fractal Axe fx Pro (or ultra, i forget) and i also use a pedal board very similar to what Misha Mansoor from periphery uses. cost me a lot but it sounds so badass.

  • @StaulkHolm MAn I wish I had the cash to afford that kind of gear. But hey, I cant complain, this cheap set up keeps me happy and it works for me :) Sounds sweet too

  • @StaulkHolm

i do a lot of guitar teaching. i started teaching after a year of guitar playing and i did about 20 to 30 hours of teaching a week, at 10 to 25 dollars an hour. which was illegal actually because i wasnt 18 lol. i bought and upgraded gear and did some really cheap mods and that gave me a lot. ive been doing it for over 4 years. if youre wondering how school was factored in i did in home lessons at night for 50 dollars each. i made around 2000 dollars a month after taxes lol.

  • @StaulkHolm

it was a lot of work but i love to teach. i literally sit in a room and play guitar discuss minor theory and teach. now i eat ramen noodles, 0.15 cents a package, drink cheap diet soda, and do a lot more penny pinching. i keep my expenses really low, and i have a roomate who does the same routine lol.

  • @StaulkHolm Haha wow man. Sounds like a good deal. And quite funny lol :)

  • @LordOfThisWorld74

yeah it gets pretty interesting. i get some money from playing clubs and stuff but that isnt much because we take any gig at any price. it is so awesome playing live. the first live show i did was a school talent show at 13 in front of about 400 people. had shitty equipment too, but we were the best act lol.i dont think up until then anybody had done that sort of thing with instruments. the both of us drink a 12 pack of diet soda a day but it only costs a $1.50 lol

  • @LordOfThisWorld74

    Btw Daath = awesome.

  • @StaulkHolm You get extra cool points for that :)

  • nice!

  • prs are the best guitar!! I own 13 and absolutely in love!

  • @keaulana1 13!?!?!?! Wow man, you must have a nice job haha

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 just got a custom 24 killer quilt, a custom 24 ltd, and an SCJ. all limited productions, they are awesome!!

  • @keaulana1 Dude your a lucky lucky lucky man

  • BUGERA

  • Isn't that PRS worth a few thousand? Or is it a different one I'm thinking about?

  • @Commiteee Your thinking about a different one haha. This one was around $700. It looks like a higher end PRS because of the birds ;-) But dont get me wrong, these Korean guitars, especially the PRS's SE line are absolutely amazing

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 Oh that's the SE model then?

It sounds really, really nice. Actually, and the only difference I see between that one and the other is the 3k one has pick-up covers.

  • @Commiteee And a carved top, locking tuners, higer end pickups, probally a little better wood, and the tops are not veneer. Other than that, their the same bassically. Not much different :) Oh, and the SE's are made in Korea ;)

  • people of youtube,

i plan on getting this guitar but i can't decide on which color i want. which color looks better yellow or red? thanks

  • im thinking of getting this guitar but i can't decide between yellow or red anyone have an opinion on which would look better?? thanks

  • sustain is awsome

  • i know there going to give me thumbs down for this but

i think your full of sh!t but thats just me

  • @morg405 Why do you say that man. If you dont like my videos and wanna post a rude comment, leave it to yourself.

  • what gauge strings do u use

  • @sufihakim 10-52's

  • The SE Custom 25th Ann is awesome. good value for the quality it delivers. nice playing

  • wow dude, nice playin, i got a prs kinda like that and it is just a great guitar

  • @christianfett Thank you! No I havent tried it out but ive heard really good things about it

  • Dude, you look a lot like Chris Robertson from Black Stone Cherry!!! It's scary hahaha. You are a great player also!!!!!

  • @OriginalZeroNM I get that ALOT haha. I love that band. Thank you man!

  • @OriginalZeroNM I get that ALOT haha. Its kinda scary isnt it lol. Thank you man

  • Does it stay in tune when using the tremolo?

  • @Clipster15 Yes it does! :-)

  • what kinda guitar is that?

  • @blackpoopshadowfear Not sure

  • Nice, man.

  • NIce!

  • Nice ax! It's always fun to get new toys to play with! LOL! Nice playing too.

  • did you know you ripped off revolution is my name, and that daath song? haha... dime will eat your soul:)

  • @sabracadabra1973 Thats exactly what I do when I just sit down by myself and play haha. Rip off other somgs :P

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 i noticed... hey! next weekend, flatwoods park, divinorum acoustic set, lets givem' a taste... you in?

  • @sabracadabra1973 Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm my acoustic feeds back like a regurgitating baby.... I might figure out something! What do ya wanna jam?

  • @LordOfThisWorld74 idk yet, but it wouldnt feedback outside would it?

  • theres a part of that solo you played that i wanna jam with you next time i come over. it sounded so freakin awesome.

  • @sabracadabra1973 Where was it? Like what time in the video

  • Its a beaut. I'd love to get me one of those, especially the royal blue one.

But for now, I already planed to save for either an Ibanez TBX or a Marshall 8100.

  • @themodernguitarist Yes man they are amazing guitars. I highly suggest you get one before they quit sellin the 25th's and before they jack the price up hundreds of dollars to where it should be ;-)

  • @LordOfThisWorld74

Eeeh, its kind of out of my price range. I'm sooooo broke... =(

  • Perfect demo. I miss my Bugera :[

  • how much does this beauty costs?

  • @zacdarider It was $719 after everything :)
