  • Most of the time UP power comes through on CSX's old C&O Main, it's on sulphur trains. The GEs seem to be the ones that stay on them the most. However, we do get UP power on other trains, such as freight or grain. Ocassionally, we'll get them on coal trains.

  • Nope I didnt know it was ever called anything else. And I see plenty of UP power on the W&A, it comes through all the time.

  • I live in Tunnel Hill, I have only seen 2 UP Locomotives come through here. Did you know, before the Civil War, Tunnel Hill used to be called Tunnelsville.

  • They dont do DPU's in Tunnel Hill. Its not a hill called Tunnel either. There is a hill with a tunnel so there for the city is called Tunnel Hill. The only reason this train had a DPU was because it was a UP train that came from Wyoming.

  • i have never seen a mid train engine. good catch.

  • thanks. yeah the 5 that i have seen all have had UP power and yeah usually all the coal trains come off the K&A Etowah Sub and they have 2 engines but i have no clue where these trains go but i guess they come from Wyoming's Powder River Basin

  • actually its not a re-route

this is about the 5th time i have seen a train like this on the W&A

  • Have they all been with UP power? I'm curious because CSX coal trains usually are limited to about 100 cars with usually 2 engines only on the head end or sometimes 3. I've never seen CSX run DPU's in this sub unless they're trying something knew. Good video once again.

  • WOW!!!!!!!! That has to have been re-routed. I wish I could have seen that. I've never seen a DPU on a train on this sub.
