@simmesimm3 I was really displeased when they brought in that other Seeker to be her love interest, kinda glad he died. I thought for sure there would be some heat between Cara and Richard, but neither would fucking budge! Then Cara and Kahlan start get all touchy feely at the end there, almost on that one LOL. I think Cara and Richard would have been better, but I'm just glad she ended up admitting that she loved Richard, Zed and Kahlan, awesome story for her character.

I've read all the books, thanks. Denna is barely in them and while she may have been Darken Rahl's favourite and the other Mord Sith feared and admired her, she doesn't hold a candle to Cara. Throughout the books Cara takes everything that's thrown at her and keeps coming back for more, she even dies at one point and comes back to serve Richard, now that is formidable...

Cara's so great! The character really made show even better. Tabrett is so beautiful and portrays Cara well. She's a talented actress. Kahlan used to be my favorite character, but now that Cara's in it, I've turned to her side. They're both great and beautiful.

@nutbustedhaji In the books Cara never rivals for Richards affections. At first, in the future, she tried to "keep warm" with him, but he refused her affections. She becomes the most trusted and feared protector of R&K throughout their entire lives and is considered family.

Cara has a short relationship with Leo (the second seeker) and eventually marries General Benjamin Meiffert in the last book, changing to white leather as opposed to the red.

According to the show runners, they're going to follow the overall arc of the books. Darken Rahl was the first book, the Keeper is the second book, and the main BIG DUDE is Jagang in the rest of the books. After the Keeper, according to the books, Richard will take the name of Lord Rahl and rule Aydindril and marries Kahlan in the 4th book.

The stories in the show aren't all from the books, they're made up, but the characters and overall main story is there.

Some of the characters are mixed up too. Although they have the same names and relationships, some like Jennsen, the pristinely ungifted, don't actually show up till book 7. In fact, she starts out as an antagonist to Richard until she finds out he's her brother.

I don't know what they'll do with Nicci in the show, but she also turns into an ally in book 6. In fact, Richard gets his magic back in book 3, and he's a REAL badass in the books.

sigh, the agiel is supposed to be thin, mord sith arent that emotional this far in according to the books, cara doesnt put her hair down this early on either, denna was supposed to be the best at torture cara was good but in the book cara still says denna was better. i'm disappointed with the show because it doesnt match well with the books, but meh atleast it has a TV series like it rightfully deserves therefore i give it my support. i'd like to see movies made.

I think they kept what they can from the books,maybe if they had done a mini series it might have been different.The tv Cara is a good portrayal of the Cara from the books,I don't remember Cara putting her hair down in the books, except maybe when she wore a dress to go undercover, I think they did it in the series to show she was an outcast and to give her some individuality.I was disppointed that they didn't go with Richard being Lord Rahl and ruling Dhara,but I'm still loving the tv series...

Hally and Raina died, very sad especially Raina, but Berdine was just as much a friend of Richard's as Cara was and had playful innocence that was very endearing. They should introduce her into the tv series as a recurring character...

She does end up loving him but not in that way, he only ever loves Kahlan, but he does have a lot of other women interested in him so it could be anybody. The books are really good and cover a lot more stuff that tv series can never hope to show, but they do get a average towards the end...
