  • HAHa yea i hear you.. but awesome Car And great Times.

  • who ever filmed this needs help .... please some offer this guy some help.. im tierd of watching nice hondas run some awesome times but it fukkin ruined by poeple that never been aroud a fukkin camera... pls .. last time you let a monkey film your shit

  • @udontknowme37 I'll let the monkey know...it was my brother. You would think a designated marksmen for the US Army could hold my camcorder more steady when he's filming my car zoomed in from1/8th mile away from some bleachers without a tripod. Hopefully he's better with an M16A2 then some Samsung camera he's had no training on. But he did come home in one piece so maybe it's better he isn't James Cameron's DP. Lighten up...it's youtube. He got the timeboard framed and focused.

  • @udontknowme37 he recored just fine,

  • omg every single racing clip ive seen has been filmed by complete idiots... wtf wigggle and move the fukkin camera out of control like where the fuck is the race at? seriously whos ever driving in any of these vids needs to get someone smart enough to handle a camera... really? i had to post this big ass comment about poeple not knowiing how to film JESSUS!!!!

  • Dame dude thats one sick ass civic... Havent been to speed world in a long time... Seeing this video really brings back memories... Did you built the car yourself ? I been thinking lately of getting a civic like your type of model but still IDK... Not really a honda kind of guy but seeing all the vids on youtube makes all that change espcially your vid... Once again sick ass car dude don't let no one rag on you bro that car would take out any all engine honda out on the streets hands down.

  • @carclubriot Thanks. I've done everything on the car that is practical. I'm not buying a machine shop just so I can overbore my own cylinders and port my head. I paid for special work. But everything else that didn't require machining tools I did.

  • Nice clean coupe bro i have the same but still rocking the single cam lol

  • not bad dog keep it up for the hondas

  • Hey I rebuilt my motor in the '82 Stang. Did some pocket porting on the exhaust ports of the heads and ground out the thermactor humps. Also added an E cam (equivalent) and Speedpro pistons which are much stronger than the stock 2% silicon cast pistons. My big oil leak was caused by a missing (yes completely gone) cam plug lol! doesn't leak a drop now and pulls much better up to 5600 rpm now. I'll be out at Speedworld on the 19th and bringing friends. Head out if have time, it'll be fun!

  • nice

  • nice well put together video....not bad for being all motor

  • I have done a lot to the engine. View all comments cause I listed some of the major mods I've done a while ago. I never did get to weigh it. I went to Firebird Raceway to use their weigh station but it was closed that night. I'd say it's slighty heavier than stock...I've removed lots of weight but added back in other areas...B18C1 engine is heavier, thick anti-roll bars, and strut tower braces, etc.

  • hey man i like your ej1. its quick. im thinking on a swap. either b16 or b18c1. which one do you recommend me? i can get complete jdm b16a for 1400. the whole swap. idk about the gsr though. let me know man

  • $1400 is really cheap for a whole swap. Is it an OBD0 engine or just stolen? My cylinder head cost me $1250. My second tranny cost me $900 friend price. I'd say for that price just go for it. It will still be fun to drive. I've driven a B16 coupe, B16 hatch, and a B16 CRX and was not impressed compared to a sup'd up GSR or B20 swap. Personally I would save up and get more displacement. Or just use the money saved and upgrade everything on the B16.

  • idk if its obdo, its not stolen cuz they are gon give me the paperwork.

  • So what do you have done to your motor? and have you weighed your car? I have a friend with a '93 Coupe with a twin cam B16 Vtec that has full exhaust on the stock exhaust manifold and a cold air intake and I beat him from a slow roll to 90 mph by about 2 cars.

  • You went on a busy night. I was there on Saturday around 9 till almost midnight and there were maybe 10 cars there.

  • Yeah, it was unusually busy for a Wed. night. There wasn't even an event going on. I'm surprised no one was there on a Sat. night. What kinda times you pull down in your Stang? I used to roll in a '79 Mercury Capri with a 302 swap when I was 16. The good old days when I could idle down the street at 40mph and leak oil the whole way.

  • Yea my stang leaks plenty of oil. I pulled the motor and gave it a new crank and bearings. I'm not sure where it's leaking but I need to find out cause it leaves fuckin puddles overnight. I couldn't race cause my seat was broken but the same Silverado SS I raced off a stop light and slightly beat a while back was running consistant 14.75s so i'm somewhere around there. I fixed the seat and i'm going back in a few weeks. I'll let you know so you can go dominate some ricers with me!

  • There was an old school Civic DX hatch with a turbo D16 running 15s and 16s and a modified SRT4 doing 14s. You need to show those kids how to drive cuase I know the Civic and the SRT4 were both much more capable. There was also a '96 Mustang Cobra running like 15.5 lol I wanted to race so bad so I could school them with my 4 speed and single exhaust cuz I can actually drive my car

  • On the Capri it leaked oil from the rear main crank seal, then the front main, then the valve cover gaskets. That car was a huge reason I switched to Honda's. Had enough with the leaks and breaking parts. Those times for the SRT4 and Cobra are consistent with stock times I've seen there. My buddy's '95 5.0 Stang also did 15.5 with overdrive off. I've seen an automatic C6 Vette run 14.0 all night long...they shouldn't feel bad.

  • Well the slow times I saw from the Cobra and SRT4 and other 5.0 was all because of wheel spin. They all had big wheels with low profile tires that just spun and spun. It was like they were launching from the water box. There was a C6 'Vette (6.0L automatic) running 13 flat the whole night which is accurate and then an identical 6.0L automatic 'Vette running 14.5 the whole night. It's bad tires, high tire pressures, and bad drivers mostly that cause it.

  • damn bro... nice gsr motor... sounds wicked... keep it up

  • Thanks guys. I've been too busy with other things to race my car in a long time. Just gets used as a daily driver still. 27K on that engine so far. Hopefully more upgrades and track time in the coming months...hopefully.

  • nice video first with times on it that i cn

  • is that really u in the vid? god u are mighty fine. how about you holler back at me.

  • DUDE FUCKING NICE EJ! im getting a gsr in my ej1 soon. i just wanted to see what a modded gsr can do. keep up the good work with ur coupe!

  • Thanx. Good luck on your setup.

  • My track is the same way with the long waits, at least the people are usually interesting to talk to. What exactly is done to your B18C1 to make is so fucking fast sans boost? I LOVE it!!

  • I use a ported GSR head, Type R valves, Blox HSL competition cams, springs, retainers, overbore forged pistons, Competition Clutch Stage 4 ceramic kit, 8.8 lb flywheel, custom P72 rom chip fine tuned with V-AFC2 and Air/Fuel meter. There's a lot I won't mention but every bearing and seal on my longblock are new and it was rebalanced and micropolished.

  • @Mike5GSR whats ur compression at?

  • @91DAintegraB20 12.0:1 compression. It's still 1.8 liters...1808 cc's.

  • @Mike5GSR are u 2L? or still 1.8

  • dope video...car runs real strong...want to see 12s...keep it up tho...ight..one
