@EpicPinkNinjaZombies did you know? the lifespan are written in shinigami numbers. to see when that human dies, you need to convert that number into human numbers (ryuk said that). so, the lifespan above people heads is pointless except if you can convert it.
If there's anything to be content with in this scene, it's that Soichiro died in peace. He died believing that his son was not Kira. That's a nice feeling that anyone on their deathbed could use.
