Noticed Monday night that Brandon Deaderick is a starter now. Has he had the spot since August or did he get it by default? He's a tough man. A few years ago, he got shot outside of an apartment complex in Tuscaloosa and was back at practice a few days later. It was a case of mistaken identity and just being at the wrong place at the wrong time. He's very lucky.

He is starting now. He got hurt, and missed the first couple weeks of the season, but has came back, won the starting job, and is making some plays.

McCourty-A stud, one of the best rookies in the league-a future star

Gronk-Deadly red zone target

Cunningham-very good this year-good pass rush, a few TFL's

Spikes-A boss, terrfic run stopper, always makes they big stop

Price-Inactive, lots of depth at WR, too early to tell

Hernandez-Steal of the draft, a beast, great routes and YAC, a future pro bowler

Mesko-One of the league's best Punters this year

Deaderick-Great pick, good pass rush a solid starter at DE-steal

Fletcher, Brown-great UDFA's

@soxpatsfan113 you guys do draft well for sure....Hernandez is aesome...but Pats defense is mediocre....especially secondary.....not tryin' to diss...my Eagles have enough problems of ther own...but Patriots now aren't the same as the dynasty teams a few years back with bruschi, seymour(when he was good) and rodney harrison.

we definetly could have gotten at least 1 more pass rusher, while we needed a punter i think the pats took Mesko a little too high, and while McCourty is a good pick i dont think that what the team needed in the first round

They had to take Mesko in the 5th, he wouldn't have been available in the late 6th

McCourty was in their opinion the best player on the board. You need more than 2 CB's...still I think they should have taken Jerry Hughes

nope, McCourty has arguably been the best rookie in the NFL-only Suh may have been better...this has been a model draft class

I give the draft a solid B/B+. I really like all the 2nd round picks, especially Spikes, but I would have rather gotten another pass rusher instead of Hernandez or Mesko.

foolish...... TE Hernandez was a STEAL!!!! Zoltan is the best punter... and -P- was a huge hole. Re-evaluate then make a comment. Very Solid Draf for the Patriots. Gronko was a great addition as well.... Price WR etc... have great potential. Fix pass rush through cuts...... and next year.

The one issue I had with the draft was that we didn't pick up a RB. I would have liked us to get another pass rusher as well.

one thing is jermaine can stop the run he had 145 tackles in his career as a DE you don't get that many if you cant stop the run but, great vid
