@kriskater well if your talking about darkslides and underflips, those tricks have been landed and have been done in countless skate videos (rodney mullen, chris haslam, deawon song) but if anything they got more realistic, they fixed it so you cant do a kickflip 720 down a 10 stair

even though this is still the best skate game, it could be better.. a nose grind is so hard in real life and its just pushin up on the stick while drooling on yourself in this game. it looks nice (esp if you pop lower tricks and make it look more real), i just wish some of the tricks were more challenging to pull off/naturally realistic looking sometimes.
Hopefully Skate 3 can master the physics and gravity of skating. Skate 2 still was pretty iffy, especially with the hangtime due to weak gravity and magnetism of grinds. I'd love to see similar physics to the first kickflip over the curb and then that 50-50 down the rail (but with almost no magnetism, same amount of pop)

There isnt going to be a skate 3, its the last one because the it went into administration, not EA itself, but the group in EA that make skate, although i hope they come out of it and make a new one :)

In the EA skate game you can do them all the time like nothing once you learn the controls.

the only unrealistic part of that was the grind magnetism and the nollie heel but if they or some other better company used that as a template and just made it as realistic as possible thatd be so damn tight.

The animation is superb - the twitch of the feet before the simple but beautiful ollie, the angle of the rail and the hunch after landing.
This is the video that got me excited years ago, it's very strange to see it now - looking better than the original game and its sequel!
EA, BB... anyone! Produce a skateboarding simulator and you will be heartily rewarded!

no shit bro lol. i mean when i saw this i was like fuuuuuuuuuck dude we got that bullshit called skate and skate 2 when they were goin in such a sick direction like this. seriously i think they just got high on crack so they went and made a shitty unrealistic floaty no gravity physics game instead. if skate 3 is like skate 1 and 2 im not buyin it and neither will dozens of other people i know.

This WAS NOT REAL GAMEPLAY. Its pre rendered, and rob was just flicking around the sticks to look like he was playing. I really do hope skate 3 plays like this on maybe the next new console, but I don't think its possible on the current ones

damn i want this game! it looks so realistic and the animations are tight as hell! plus when hitting the rail he doesnt have to go hella slow just to hit it like you do in the actual game including skate 2. when playing skate 2 it sucks because this looks 1000 times better than skate 1 and 2 combined.

you know everytime i come back to view this it makes me sad to know that ea skate didn't turn out like this...altho it still is a great game...this video is something amazing....i wish i knew what the deal is with this video cause it's nothing like skate or even skate 2....everything is different...the pushing, the flip tricks, the grinding. it's as if it's not in game and it's some other prototype...and their not even playing it...just faking it

Cool game better than Tony hawlks. Just that EA skate games are still pretty fake when you look at them . What pros can do 720 Quad flip
or 360 hard flips when ever they please. Because I have the game and can always but out nolie 360 flips with out busting my ass or 360 hard or heel flips. What gets me in ive never seen someone even in the pros beside Mullen bust out noile 360 hard and heel flips. In the EA skate game you can do them all the time like nothing once you learn the controls.

Ya like I said Skate is way realer ,just that its not all that much more than Tony Hawlks.Skate is way more down to earth to the point that you cant grind phone polls.Just that they should of made skate as real as you could get with out taking away from having fun with a game.One would of been you could get off your board and two that you cant bust out real hard ass tricks all the time.Other than that Skate its a way better game.

Ive even played the demo for skate 2 and its the same tricks .Great how u can get off ur board dont u think.Cant wait for it to come out. yeah skate 2 will have endless possibility... you can build your own thing :D but for the tricks... it still have a lot of trick you can do... so it doesn't really matter to me if there's some trick missing.

Ya they rushed Skate one to make money on Skate 2 with u being able to get off ur board and move things.They could of put that in Skate 1 but that could of stoped sales and stoped the series.What would be the big deal about skate 2 if u can do all that in skate 1.Alot of games do that thow ,they can lead more into later games.

this is what the game looked like before, but because the 360 or ps3 couldnt handle it they had to tone things down.....a lot. so yeah this is what the game did look lie before. i noticed it because the way rob pushes looks the same everytime, its just the frame rate and graphics were alot better and faster, thats what made it look pre-rendered
