  • umm this istn fake. i watched this when it happened and it is real. i rewound my dvr a few times just because i heard this.

  • Completely FAKE morons.... ignorant conspiracy theorists!

  • @leeuniverse Nothing fake about it. Do some research before making claims.

  • Smells fake. Think everyone in the auditorium would have heard that.

  • lol, this sounds more like the dude who created this video whispered into a mic.

either way, romney is still an idiot. Ron Paul 2012!

  • Plastic man. Could this guy be any more shallow?

  • First of all, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that you (the audience) can't hear anything that isn't being said into or near a microphone... So, there are only the moderators, candidate's, and the producer's microphones available. That leaves (1) something whispered near the moderator's mic, (2) another candidate mumbling something, or (3) a producer whispering near a hot mic. Oh, by the way, Romney's only been saying "I won't raise taxes" since 1992.

  • Was someone hiding down by his feet? LOL!!!

Mormon's still believe in polygamy, the REAL law abiding Mormons. They do that in their temples where men are "sealed" to as many women as they choose. They just hide it better than their fundie off springs that do it illegally in the open in UT. Many are young girls forced to marry old perverts--PEDOPHILE HAVEN.

VOTE FOR POLYGAMY ROMNEY-- WHY VOTE JUST ONCE!!!

I dare u all to google:

White and Delightsome. (typical Mormon teachings.)

  • WHAT A CROOK!!!!!

  • F U N N Y!

  • This actually happened I watched all the primary debates. I heard this live and it recorded onto my dvr. I sat there in astonishment thinking no wayyyy. Replayed it on the dvr and sure enough it was there. Be in denial all you want, almost all of them do it. The only candidate during the primary I trusted enough to not be wired was Paul. Just think about it for a moment, do you honestly think George Bush made it through the primaries without any help... yeah right, or Mr. Teleprompter in chief.

  • The whisper was "He raised taxes," which is what Reagan did in 1983.

  • Mitt Rommney DORK!!!!!

  • They are all puppets, cue card reading actors nothing more! Only the cue card is in their ear ; ) Kucinich, Paul or nothing....any other vote is a waste of a trees ass! How the hell do I get out of this zoo? The monkey's are all feeding themselves to the snakes and I'm stuck in the fuckin' conga line....HELP!

  • Romney=Douchebag

  • Thanks for your OPINION.

    But your wrong.

  • acrually i believe he was right

    =P

  • Ron Paul 2012!

  • Lol! Wow so against a canididate who only has the best interest at heart for the country. Why so hostile? Do you like war? Taxes? Special interests groups? Your answer should be very insightful.

  • @bgabbs69 RIGHT ON !!

  • @ilovepickles0 Regardless of if he wins or not he's started a revolution, it's growing and it's not going to stop. Your boy Romney is a phony and will be exposed in the 2012 debates.

  • Domenico Montanaro, an NBC News political researcher, wrote on the network's political blog, First Read: "After reviewing the tapes, NBC determined that an open mic[rophone] picked up a whisper from the audience."

    msnbc. msn. com/id/22848324/

  • And it also said they didn't know where the whisper came from.

So, their claim doesn't matter because it doesn't answer the question.

Who was close enough to this so called open mic to be able to say two different things, that Mitt Romney just happened to repeat.

    Catch a clue.

  • Conspiracy theorists...

  • How is that a conspiracy?

Did they say where the whisper came from. NO

SO it's no theory my little sheep.

They don't know. If I claim they did know that would be a theory.

Get a clue moron. If I said you had a brain that would be a theory.

  • Wow, you must have been really good at insults when you were in 3rd grade! Are you still in 3rd grade? Probably.

You obviously do not know what a conspiracy is either. Let me enlighten you. "an agreement by two or more persons to commit a crime, fraud, or other wrongful act."

Now, isn't this what you are accusing him of?!

Furthermore, they did say that the whisper came from the audience. So who is the moron?

  • Your Defending a fraud, The Microphones used are not wide range, If that were the case we would hear every sneeze and cough or someone clearing their throat. Their claim is a fraud. Secondly your eagerness to defend this clear case of cheating is suspect.

Is this the War Mitts kids are willing to fight in?

  • Actually it is possible for the MSNBC cameras to come with a mic directly attached to the camera, and it's more likely that the sound from one of the cameras was picked up. The cameramen are always filming something and its the job of the director to switch them. It's actually very likely.

  • Again, there would of been some other sound during the 90 min debate, a sneeze or cough, So let me get this right your position would be, the only thing to be picked up from the mic just happen to be the words Raised Taxes? just before Mitt says it? who is wearing the tinfoil hat now?

It doesn't even matter Romney is out but the Fraud is real, deal with it.

  • Now you're just looking for reasons to believe this to be true.

  • I'm not looking for reasons. I'm dealing with reality. Are you saying you hear something OTHER than raise taxes?

  • I hear it, yeah. I don't really care about Romney, I'm voting for Paul.

  • "He raised fees", "He flipped on abortion", "He doesn't care what voters think", "He said he's an avid hunter", shhhhh......don't tell anyone

  • The only people that had open mikes were the mediators and the other candidates. It's called heckling, whispering something that you'd like him to say so he'd mess up. He said the OPPOSITE of the "whisperer" I heard Huckabees campaign manager was hiding in Hucks podium. Maybe it was him.

  • My fiancee and I heard it last night. We were appalled. I guarantee you that Ron Paul shoots from the hip every time.

  • There is a 2nd whisper: v=zK408oqEyOU&

Romney is coached to use "support" instead of "believe"

  • Let's not elect corruption. Romney is scum.

  • The following is from an MSNBC article.

"Domenico Montanaro, an NBC News political researcher, wrote on the network's political blog, First Read: "After reviewing the tapes, NBC determined that an open mic[rophone] picked up a whisper from the audience.

"It is unclear who it is that says it, but it was not said by any of the candidates, was not heard in the hall and, more importantly, not heard by the candidates."

  • There is another video that showed that article, to be honest, I can't remember who's article it was but the article was taken down or changed.

I believe or support, lol (inside Romney joke) that the title of the video was Mitt Romney and the Tax Whisperer. youtube video

  • For those proclaiming it can't be an ear piece. There are these cool little devices now that allow sound to be projected in narrow beams rather than normal sound waves that ripple out in all directions. Looks like Mitt's helper didn't get the aim good enough to keep the microphone from catching it. MITT IS A FRAUD!!!

  • Hay folks, it was an open mike in the audience and someone whispered what you heard.

  • What, no one tuned in for the Republican open-mic karaoke night afterwards? Why else would a live microphone be aimed at the audience they kept telling to shut up during the whole debate?

  • You're a nut...NBC has said that Romney had NOTHING to do with it. The following is from an MSNBC article.

  • Yeah, that sounds plausible.

    Not!

This wasn't the only time Romney was "helped" during the debate.

After Huckabee asked Mitt his question, Romney was corrected through his "helper".

Don't believe me. Listen again, and hear Mitt correct himself after hearing the preferred terminology.

  • Dude deal with reality. Someone Said something and Romney repeated it. You go find the odds on that happening on Accident. If you can't see the games being played by the media, Your never going to see it.

  • if youre not cheatin you aint tryin

  • if youre not cheatin you aint tryin

  • I heard it during the debate several times, thanks to a DVR. I had to be sure I heard right. If MSNBC thought it was one of their people, etc wouldn't they just say so and lay it to rest. It's back up on their site.

Furthermore, why would another candidate answer: they were friendly but not THAT friendly. Sorry but, Romney got busted!!

  • What a load. Someone dubs this in and people buy into it. Just shows you... most of the candidates are pretty pathetic, but the voting public is even more pathetic. Maybe it was Kucinich's UFO...

  • It was the delay in the audio booth of himself speaking. The debate is over. You can hear that the "whisper" has the same echo as the speakers. Obviously not a voice in the ear.

  • Breaking news the person whispering in Mitts ear was none other than Frank Lunts!!!

  • the "raised taxes"part seemed explainable, no conspiracy there. then i listened VERY closely and could clearly hear "i'm not gonna" almost as romney said "im not gonna". this is huge! im not a consp. theorist but there is clearly collusion at some level. you can only hear it well on some versions. it is very clear on tivo.

  • I heard that too! I have to review the florida debate too because i thought i heard something like this last night also.

  • I am so glad that someone posted this movie. I heard it to, and thought about the possibilities. Regardless of the reason or cause it is funny, the media is really acting infantile and unprofessional. This is bias, opinionated, staged news and destructive to America. However there is an element of entertainment to it. It isn't everyday you see so much fumbling by the media.

    Ron Paul 2008

    X

  • I doubt Brian Williams would have whispered anything to the candidates. It had to have been one of the other candidates that did so.

  • Go Ron Paul!

    x

    /A Swedish supporter

  • As much as I want to think it was Romney getting help, Listen to Russert restate/add to the question! Someone whispered in HIS ear to clarify! Which doesnt make it any better, it just means that Russert and pals were trying rephrase to help Romney cause they knew he wouldnt know what Reagan did. I think this is more a Russert exposure than Romney. Either way they are both TRASH!

  • The only reason NBC is trying to cover it up is because they dont want to admit that they were trying to help Romney! Either way, the whole election process is a fucking JOKE! Hillary was already picked by the Bilderberg Group in Ottawa in '2006 to be our next President. The only other possibility is Royal Blood Obama.

  • I heard it clear as a bell live! It was probably one of Romney's attorneys that he would consult with on everything, including boxers or briefs!!!

  • Puppet Alert! Puppet Alert!

    Good find! LOL

  • Man I thought I was the only one that notice that shit yesterday man!!!!! Are you kidding me? Can anybody tell me why the hell we still have people supporting this man? Can any one please?

  • No more puppet governments!

  • Yeah, I heard it during the debates and immediately smelled something fishy. I thought that maybe the microphone picked up someone behind that curtain, since the stage setup looks weird, anyway. But I think it was McCain talking to him, probably amused at "educating" Mitt Romney. It just didn't show up on camera so it looks secretive.

  • If that whisper is from McCain then McCain just got BUSTED for cheating. What a f*****g joke.

  • Someone behind the curtain

  • Can't Romney think for himself. What an illusion. How can they do that, mislead people? Do they not have a conscience?

  • just another crook. i'm in florida. democrats need to vote this year cause as of now we are out numbered

  • Wo!

Mitt Romney is scarey. I hope we get anyone for the nomination other than Romney. This isn't the only problem. Mitt flip flops, lies and has a very evil temper.

  • My first reaction when I saw it last night is that it looks to me like what someone who is hard of hearing would do. Watching it here and on the clip where the whole answer (watch?v=yUj6APeJo7M--starting at 3:20), it is clear that Mitt is responding with a stock line to a question he didn't even understand.

To be fair, the question from Tim Russert was another "gotcha" type question designed to make the candidate look bad.

  • this is the kind of president he will make. Getting lawyers to make policy and advice from disembodied voices is exactly what we have now and look how well that's gone.

  • It was McCain that whispered that to him.

  • yes i heard this when i was watching the debate but i shrugged it off as maybe some feedback from someone else's mic. i agree with rulllar though very lame if true.

  • i don't know whether this is true or not, but ASSUMING it is: it's not "fraud", as you claim at the end of this vid, to get advise on how to respond to a question. It is lame of a presidential candidtate to get assistance with a simple question, even though i'm sure he had an idea of what he'll say since he's only been saying it 50x a day for the past 4 months!

  • rulllar (2 hours ago)

he's only been saying it 50x a day for the past 4 months!

Then he shouldn't need help saying it. DUH

HE had more time to talk than any other and yet he needs help? I guess some people don't mind being mislead.

  • It's pretty obvious he just didn't know what happened in '83, not that he needed help deciding what to do.

The voice said "raise taxes" as in that's what Reagan did, and Romney responded to that.

Romney is a charlatan for sure and I hope this gets uncovered by the MSM, but I don't think he's a complete idiot when it comes to populist policies like lowering taxes (even though that's a good thing). He's just a lousy historian.

  • That's a bad thing if you're a lousy historian and running for the Presidency.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to know your history, or you are bound to repeat your mistakes. Well, there isknowing, then there is comprehending.

Ron Paul needs to be in the oval office. He has demonstrated that he is the man to save this country time and time again.
