Damn this song is such a part of the soundtrack of my life. Everytime i hear it i'm transported back to to when i was catching a sunliner coach from Sydney to Coolangatta on my families yearly holiday. It was raining and this "new" Men at Work song came on the radio. I was half asleep and it woke me up and i've loved it ever since. Takes me straight back. LOVE IT LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@DartsRme312 it was at the Oz for Africa gig - which ran concurrently with Live Aid. We saw bits throughout the day, including INXS - as far as I know the first time INXS appeared on UK TV. Which I always felt was ironic.
@brodestar93 Since I'm into good drummers, that does mean something to me! I'm really familiar with Wackerman from his great work with guitarist Allan Holdsworth. Didn't know he played with Men at Work, though.
puedes entre en su casa sin un 'writ' o 'warrant', in Ingles, escrita por un 'Judge'. Yeah, Air Supply is so wonderful. That's why I saw Colin Hay play in my town (Columbia, MO) in a very large club last Saturday (15th of August), whereas Air Supply played on a casino boat in a nearby town to far fewer people. Why did Air Supply play to fewer people? Air Supply is music for grannies, while Colin Hay wrote (and still writes) great songs.

howie90 you Bogger!! Air Supply were the main stars of Live Aid UK 1985 and OZ for Africa!! Men at work were booed pelted with rotten tomatoes outside the stadium. Colin was hit in the butt!!
Air Supply beat the shit out of half Men at work during this concert!! Jerry was selling pop corn at the gate while John was mopping the floor because Colin sacked them both , Ron was crying in his house.. Russell hitchcock and the rest of the band was the main stars then!!!
I get your point man, but it is him. Check out MAW on wikipedia, you'll discover this killer drummer has played with them. Well, I guess everybody has to eat!
Chas Wackerman is an excellent drummer: Frank Zappa only hired the best. Air Supply played a little casino in a small town near mine (Columbia, MO) recently. Colin Hay and his band played in a large club (The Blue Note, Columbia, MO) last Saturday (August 15th) to a huge audience. Why did Hay play in a bigger place to a bigger audience? Simple: Colin Hay wrote and continues to write great music, whereas Air Supply is music for weak-willed women, homosexual men, and grandmothers.

It is Live Aid, but not at Wembley or Philadelphia.
And they did have a follow up album, it's called Cargo and Overkill is off it.

I don't think that this is Live Aid...

This is the only band ever to win a grammy for best new artist and never have a follow up album! To this day, they are still one of my favorites!
oconnorg71 3 years ago
they had follow up albums..

Wow! I just looked at you're right! I'd always heard on triva that they never did realase a follow-up albumn. Guess I'll have to take look/listen.
