@reptile411 Yeah, it really put a downer on my day, just imagining the last few seconds of their life, just terrifying. I give so much credit to the firefighters for bringing out the boa, because you know some of them were terrified of it..
@reptileman24 I agree, even all money aside, thousands of animals were lost today and peoples lives shattered. They are keeping their chins up but you can see the pain.
Thou I never meet him Chad Brown seemed to be down to earth and I'm sure a pleasure to deal with, is interviews were great! Sad day for our reptile nation....
I'm not a fan of pet stores for reasons like this because they have no chance if there is a fire. There should be limits to the number of animals a pet store can have at one time to keep losses like this at a minimum. This makes for a depressing week.
@reptileman24 Breeders have facilities that are better equipped to handle fires. That's one responsibility when caring for so many animals. These reptiles might of had a chance with a proper sprinkler system. Also some breeders raise these animals in their natural habitat and don't have much of anything that can catch fire.
Hopefully more survived by crawling into glass water bowls or figured out quick ways to adapt to the heat,:( if it was only one snake surviving that's a really bad fire.

@Snapscape so ur against big breeders to because big breeders have lots of animals to and thay are just as much at risk for a fire

That is horrible! An entire livelihood destroyed...it'll take YEARS to recover from something like that considering the place kept 3000 snakes!
