who wouldn't want to dance after listening to this. it just gets to you without u even trying. i absolutely love this thanks midnight crew u are amazing xxx
Men i like hat guy dancing and holding his pam slippers...so cute, what a great song, keep it up sisters.....i like your style, xoxoxox Kene nu Jesu , Praise Be To Jesus
i dont know why sometimes igbos try to differenciate theirselves from other igbo. theres something called central igbo, the one they speak in enugu city, but apart from that other igbo land speak igbo a bit different, for example i was born in enugu city and i speak the enugu version of igbo, but when i go to my village in nsukka i dont understand a single thing, so does my mom who's from anambara. but my dad understand so he translates sometimes, so igbo is igbo, just depends on local dialect.
Tonydaymn your 100% right we are one big igbo family. i'm from Anambra, Anioma means good land it's mean thesame for all igbos. every states and town in igbo land has there own pronacation just like in UK british, scottish and irish speak diffrerence english. as long as someone bears igbo name or suname the person is igbo , note that Anioma are the first igbos to cross river niger don't let the language confuse you :) we will get there someday i really love the song praise the lord...
whats difference between anioma and igbos?anioma means good land in igbo language and i am sure its the same meaning to them..igbo language varies according to towns and so does the intonation chnages..an abiriba or nsukka man also speaks igbo just that the intonation is different and such intonation doesnt make them more or less igbos than the others..its a great song,,we are all one big igbo family and together we praise god..go ahead and keleenu jesu
this is Anioma and not igbo ok, babybuttom shame on u and ur lol for their igbo.anioma is not igbo and to suggest that is a misnomer and vexatious.Kene jesu is excellent.i love them.Chukwu gozi weane, isen
and chukwu gozi isn't igbo right, ohh anioma is just a name anioma and not igbo, howcome me thats from enugu know what anioma means if it's not igbo, pls dont be ridiculous.
are these guys igbo or yoruba, the lead singer especially she sings so fluently in both languages. one could think both languages are her first language. midnight crew is such a good representative of a well integrated nigeria..... well may be igbo and yoruba, i ve not heard then sing in hausa or any other language.
One female lead is Igbo, the other is Yoruba, but they look so much alike they could pass for identical twins. That's the big kick from watching their videos, buddy!
The lead singer for this paticular track is Pat Uwaje-King. Judging by her name she is not Yoruba, but living in Lagos she must have picked it easily.
The other lady is Odunayo Ojo. Check her out in Midnight Crew's video for "Surulere". The other guys are also Yoruba (if you notice at the beginning you can't actually see the man's lips moving in the Igbo-speaking part). But I agree, it's wonderful that they are fusing different parts of Nigeria together... God continue to bless them!
i like the message of this video, in all things give thanks, she was giving thanks even before her husband was returned to her! Big Midnight Crew Fan, more grease to your elbows!!!

They are PRAISING GOD!! Does it really matter whether they are 'real' Igbos or not?
Please don't bring politics/tribalism where GOD is concerned!
PEACE!!
