  • The production company should really go back to the original location and make another one of these movies

  • great documentary!! but i need to know the adress where the bridge { 0:53 } is located. thanks

  • thanks dude!! great footage of the camp.

  • wow dude i didnt know this shit. i live in the town next to blairstown

  • Nice tour , great dialog or whatever lolz Thanks for sharing this

  • Right on, thanks for the tour. Good work.

  • COOL stuff man..that was a fun fact

  • i go to nobe every year and i know jack dirr

  • awsome video ever made thank you for a great movie classic

  • Nice doc. good nar.

  • It's called the crystal clear lake(scary) and yeah that's how they made Friday the 13th -true story, a boy drowned there cuz of the currents in the middle

  • this is still the best docu.

  • So the old beautiful subways were torn down, concrete gravel roads got torn down and replaced with tar, and the world trade center got replaced with a somber waterfall (rather than another biulding or statue of an eagle ripping out a tyrants heart or something)... but a town used for making a slasher film remains practically untouched.... alrighty

  • I work at the camp. It's true name is Nobebosco.

  • @blood666fall what is that like?i heard some stories about that place.

  • @crystalbratcher30ify It's a nice place. Weather is usually nice up there, they cook GREAT food, and, well I can go on, but I have limited space to write. It's private property, though, so heading up there for Friday 13th purposes is by all means illegal. In other words, the camp is for Boy Scouting purposes only.

  • @blood666fall thats good.

  • i live right near warren county

  • Wow. I thought they filmed this outside Atlanta.

  • @jmkpns i think that was part 6, but im not sure. this one was filmed in new jersey though.

  • @steve5568 I used to watch all the Friday 13th films in the middle 90's when the USA Network would air them on Friday the 13th.

  • Excellent! Thank you for this! I'm not sure how you got into that camp, but congratulations for doing so! Great music, too! I can't wait to use it for my cell phone!

  • That would be so cool to see and visit!! :)

  • The second time with a buddy there was a Scout event going on and raining. Not many were around the cabin area and lake so the rain gave it an 'authentic' feel.

That view up lake to the infamous mountain view still is engaging.

There is a securty camera installed on the grounds there, Advise not to trespass as they are not receptive to fans anymore.

  • I love seeing filming locations from great movies. Next best thing to going there myself. Thank you. :)

  • wow I never the old hope cemetary was in that movie. my church is just up the road from there.

  • what i meant was the people up there now say if you go on the property they will call the cops.

  • the archway tunnel was a bank

  • i went here in 1999 and they were cool. if you try going there now they are total assholes. they need a real visit from mommy

  • Awesome film and I like the fact that this guy is such a fan that he went through all the trouble to track this place down. That is devotion!!!!!

  • nice

  • This reminds me who much I don't like the remake. I forgot how cool the music was...

  • What do you mean "Now known as Camp NoBeBosCo"? It was never Crystal Lake!

  • @qwerty123400001 It's a misunderstanding through the narrative, I meant it as being known as Crystal Lake to the fans, but now that the film is done being shot, it's NoBeBoSco (although I know it was ALWAYS NoBeBoSco)...I know it was never called Crystal Lake, it's just the wording and how some people are misinterpreting it.

  • Is this near Flemington Camp ?..

  • good job, that was an awesome little documentary...

  • Nice vid Danny..I went to all these locations last year from Massachusetts...

  • i used to live off milbrook rd i love it up in blairstown

  • Nice work, especially all the film of the cabins.

  • @jksonny Thank you very much, it was so much film filming in the cabins (it was creepy shooting during the day, I can't imagine how it'd look shooting at night!)

  • Excellent a big thanks

  • These are alway so much better if you intercut scenes or screenshots from the original movie as comparison.

  • I wanted to, but it was a project for my class that was going to be posted on our local channel...and they said with copyright laws, we'd have to go and get permission to use the footage. So that's why there's no footage, I would have loved to have it.

  • nice work

  • wow that was really cool. i'm a big fan of the series....thanks for posting this

  • @Silas420Botwin hey go f yourself pal hows that sound prick?

  • @seafood360 WTF?? what's your problem man

  • kinda creepy!

  • I love this stuff ,saw the movie when it was released. I've visited the "Monroeville mall" in Pitts PA where you all know "Dawn of the dead" was filmed. I think this is sort of a behind the scenes thing that is neat to see. THANKS FOR POSTING

  • I am so glad you liked it, thank you very much!! I always wanted to go to the Monroeville Mall in PA, that must've been awesome!

  • Thank you very much, I am glad you enjoyed it! :)

  • I go to Camp Nobebosco every year. Were leaving in two weeks, cant wait.

  • Enjoy it there, it's such a cool place to be! :)

  • Not mad i can ban you no matter how many times you get in with any name hahaha

  • Listen up ccg1171,You are the asshole.

    So go fuck yourself,

  • Ha Ha I got in dont be mad =D Be happy

  • id like to see you get in again..

  • I went there last year only to be chased off property by grounds security! Yes in the middle of nowhere is right.Took a while to find it but did'nt get a chance to walk around the lake because of private property personal escorting me off the area.Very pretty there in the fall the foliage is awsome!!

  • i live in blairstown and every friday the 13 we go and vist sand lake (where they filmed it). by the way its in the middle if nowhere.....

  • who ever said this is wrong is an idiot

  • Yeah, it's from the first Friday the 13th...which reason would you have to think I was wrong? Apparently you didn't see the first movie...

  • i did see the movie it was made in PA

  • Nope...Blairstown, NJ...I live in New Jersey...and I drove to Blairstown and Hope in New Jersey to all the locations...definitely not PA

  • Cool! :=)

  • I want to go!

  • very cool video man.

  • great documentary

  • Sand pond is a lake you know! in barharbor Maine there a lake called Jordan pond.

  • Yeah, it's a lake called "Sand Pond" and in the movie it was "Crystal Lake"

  • @ForEverSnoopy

I did that hike around Jordan Pond twice. Jordan Pond is improperly named since it's not man-made, which is what seperates ponds from lakes.

  • very cool thank you !! i met betsy palmer !!! scary woman

  • Thank you very much! And that must've been very cool to meet Besty Palmer!

  • coool

  • good job on the crystal lake sign. keep up the good work

  • cool video

btw the only reason they had strip-monoply is cause the director was gay

  • @777CombatVideos777

what is that supposed to mean?

  • great job.

  • really cool,very interesting thanks

  • Very well done, that was cool as hell to see.

  • Thank you very much!

  • good video but the frist friday the 13th i don't reemeber a town but oh well

  • It's the very beginning where Annie, the girl with the backpack, is walking through town and stops at the diner looking for a ride to Camp Crystal Lake.

  • its always been nobebosco! they changed the name for the movie!

  • I've already gone over this with someone else who left the same comment. The wording of the dialogue was meant that it was known as Camp Crystal Lake in the movie...but NOW known as Camp NoBeBoSco since the movie has been already filmed and such. Trust me, I know it has ALWAYS been Camp NoBeBoSco, Camp Crystal Lake is made up for the film.

  • dude i go there every summer for camp soooo much fun there

  • Great video and good job dude. I must confess it crossed my mind to visit the place when I was watching your video. Good thing you put the disclaimer at the end.

  • Thanks man, I appreciate the feedback. A friend of mine was saying how it would be nice if they opened the campground to tourists around Halloween (imagine being able to pay to spend a night in a cabin?). But since some people have trespassed and vandalized parts of the cabins and such, they won't open it up. It's a shame.

Oh and I like your name, Fight Club was a great movie!

  • that guy looks like eric harris LOL

  • There is a Crystal Lake in Ct near me too! Creepy, thanks for posting, great job!!

  • Good. Would have been better if you used clips from the movies to show your viewers what you are talking about.

  • Yeah I know, but it was a project for a film class and our professor didn't want us to use any copyrighted footage, so I had to just rely on narration and current footage. Glad you liked it though.

  • Great Stuff Man!

  • I worked there too! It's a beautiful camp, and Jack is a great guy.

  • that fog is abit too much...

  • very scary place... the trees the cabins the ambient... very good work

  • I went to this area and me and my friend went to the diner in the movie. Our waitress was in the movie ! She was just a walk on in the backround, but it was her ! She walks out of the diner in the backround in the movie, it was AWESOME to meet her !

  • Awesome Job. Brings back a lot of memories.

  • I spent a weekend at the campground in 1980 in Boy Scouts. It was an great weekend, I was only 10 yrs old and they told us the story about the movie. They of course made it alot more interesting.

  • I actually work at this camp so it looks alot like home! I find it pretty cool that Jack spoke to you and that Tom Rich let you on without much of a problem.

  • Wow!!...You work here?...Cool!!...I always wondered what it would be like to visit this town and camp...Blairstown seems like quite an interesting place!!...I love the Documentary on this town and camp, wish it was longer though!!..

  • I am so glad that you liked it! Originally it was just meant to be a final project for my film class with the criteria where it had to be 3-5 minutes in length. But I would have loved to film a longer version with actual film footage included for comparison.

  • Yeah Jack was a real nice guy about the whole thing and really helped me out with the whole project. Without the camp, the documentary just wouldn't have been the same.

  • That was awesome, man.

  • That is actually really damn cool. Too bad the remake isn't using that town. It still looks the same after all this time. Like the town that time forgot. If I walked down the streets of that town I'd probably still expect to find crazy Ralph waiting to tell me I'm doomed if I go to "Camp Blood".

    "It's got a death curse!"

  • I used to live on millbrook rd.

  • Great documentry, great job thanks for posting....

  • How do i get permission and i have to reanact the ending in texas in lake livingston

  • At 3:25 look how skinny this guy is. The guy is a fucking twig at least a good 110lbs WET.

  • It's a shame when all people care about are physical appearances. It's sad...but I guess leehr777 is perfect, right?

  • hey KID what your mouth.

  • Don't you mean "watch"? And I'm not a kid. Just pointing out how ignorant some people can be. Nothing more. Nothing less. You're the one making comments like that, not me. Such a shame...

  • ccg1171, i can totally saying that LOL. Dont people know the lengths people will go to when they are horror fans?

  • I hope no nutcases go around there trying to recreate the movie sequences.

  • Just ran across this! very well made and professional job. nice to know those locations are real and not a hollywood set.

  • So many dead deer on the roads around there, it was kinda sad..

  • I just went to all these places last week on the real Friday June 13th 2008 that just passed all the way from Fall River Massachusetts, 4 1/2 hour ride. When we got there we saw the tunnel, the diner & the little town. When we got to the camp some dick head on a tractor said were trespassing! I said cant we look around & he said yeah go ahead if you want a ticket, so I say fuck you too him asshole, ruined my trip Fat Slob, everything else I saw was cool even the cematary.

  • because you have to have permission to go in the camp and he had permission I live in houston texas and im planning on going to lake livington to renact the endind of friday the 13th with a conoe well bye

  • Go to google & look up camp nobebosco thats what its really called now, get the phone # & call them. But beleive me there not gonna let you.

  • Listen jerkoff...my bf is part of the staff up there and I'm soon going to be...that "fat slob" as you so put it happens to be the ranger...the only reason nobody can be up there without specific permission is because of idiots trespassing and vandalizing it...so leave tom alone, he's only doing his job! I'm sure you know the meaning of "private property" right?

  • @NJFir3Fight3r88 id love to go visit,i have known some people to go, maybe one day ill be able to swing it in my favour :)

  • @NJFir3Fight3r88 fuck u homo, stop whining

  • Your just pissed off that you got kicked out. They should have called the cops on your Massachusetts piece of shit and arrested you and your fat women.

  • I live in Warren county NJ and am a big fan of Friday the 13th. In part 3 there are Nj license plates on the vehicles. There also is a nj newspaper in the market(sussex herald). Also on the bulletin board if u stop the DVD there is a sign for Vernon valley great gorge and for a flea market in Newton. Everywhere i look it says that part 3 was filmed in California. Does anyone know the truth behind this? It's driving me crazy.

  • it was at the melody rance in california

  • Yes i know 98% of the film was shot there in Cali. but the store seen was filmed in Jersey. I did find that out a few months ago on the internet. The store scene from the 3rd film was indeed filmed right outside of Vernon Nj. That explains the Sussex county newspaper rack inside the store and all the fliers from jersey destinations like the long extinct Newton Flea market. I thought it was kind of weird. There is no way back in 82 or 83 they are bringing a newton flea market flier to cal.

  • I pass by Warren County during my time living in Connecticut. This is Jason home!!!!

  • Haha! This is great. I live in Blairstown and its funny to see familiar places

  • thanks

  • I heard the camp has a wall full of "Friday The 13th" merchandise there.

  • yo i live i blairstown

  • Wasn't Night of the Living Dead also filmed in New Jersey? Great video by the way :)

  • NOTLD was filmed in Pennsylvania.

  • I wish i could spend the weekend there alone that place is so nice and peaceful gotta love it, nice post.

  • Warren, Susex, and Hunterdon counties are nice counties compared to Bergen county where I grew up. What a rathole of a county that is.

  • how did u get pro mission to go in the camp?

  • people i live there the camp is in blairstown end of story!!

  • Haha thank you, people get so hung up on such a small technicality and completely look past the documentary itself. Hope you liked it

  • Hardwick Twp. and Blairstown both have the same zip code, 07825. Most people know the camp being located in Blairstown but for the people who live there its actually in Hardwick twp.

  • Excellent job, Mr. Pitell!

  • I've been there. It's a nice place.

  • great job on the video...have always wondered where the movie was filmed and if ti was an actual camp...dont think id have the guts to spend the night there but am glad that it is being used still for the scouts and that the owners seem to respect the history of the place...again, great job!

  • what you couldn't handle a night at the camp? I live right down the road from it. Jason walks in my woods.lol

  • Nice video BUT YOU FACTS ARE WRONG. The Camp and Millbrook Rd scenes are in HARDWICK not Blairstown

  • Actually, the official address to Camp NoBeBoSco is:

    11 Sand Pond Road

    Blairstown, NJ

That's BLAIRSTOWN...so you are mistaken. Check your facts before you wrongfully accuse others.

  • I live in the town I AM RIGHT. NOBEBOSCO IS IN HARDWICK AND SO IS MOST OF MILLBROOK ROAD ESPECIALLY THE PART IN SCENES. I LIVE 2 BLOCKS FROM THERE SO U GET IT RIGHT. HARDWICK DOESNT HAVE POST OFFICE. SO THEY USE BLAIRSTOWN. SO YOU CHECK YOUR FACTS BEFORE YOU TRY AND ACT LIKE YOU ARE INTELLIGENT. CALL HARDWICK TOWNHALL 908-362-6528 AND ASK WHAT TOWN SAND POND ROAD IS IN. BLAIRSTOWN TOWNHALL 362-6663

  • Either your CAPS button is stuck...or you are trying to show how tough you are (people online always seem to act much tougher than they really are). The address I have from the camp says BLAIRSTOWN...so that's what the documentary states. You're like the type of person who would talk bad about a nice speech because one word was mispronounced. And don't try to insult me, when people stoop that low it is sad and hardly fitting of their age. Just enjoy the movie.

  • Just to let you know it is hardwick. But hardwick is sometimes considered blairstown because they are so close.

  • good job, kid!

  • Nice, the setting is one of the things I liked most about Friday the 13th, and I didn't know it was an actual camp, let alone one that still stands and operates today. Great documentary, I really enjoyed it, thanks for sharing this with all the fans.

  • this video is mutha fin awesome man! good job! 5 stars!

  • cool, i just moved to blairstown last year....i didn't know that this was where they filmed the movie until i was searching "blairstown" in the youtube search and found this.....this is a great documentarty....i knew this place looked familiar!!!

  • Great job, very informative. I would love to visit there.
