Mandelson was, is and forever will be, one of the biggest bastards ever to belong to the Labour Party and one who put a nail in the coffin of the British Labour Party.
The 2001 election was extremely dull in that hardly any seats changed hands and the turnout was a miserable 59%. Labour were preceived as having presided over a successful economy (though the debt crisis was quietly building up) and the Conservatives had shifted too far to the right.
It would still be good to have the whole night posted, as with all the other post 1979 elections.
