  • change your title. this is not authentic venetian plaster. authentic venetian plaster is a true craft and art. unfortunately it appears that there will never be a historically accurate revival or renaissance toward the days of true craftsmanship. next no doubt you'll post a video of an authentic fresco. this saddens me.

  • hello me mate, how do i buy your products? also, is it easy to do? or do you need to be a good plaster to do it?

  • fantastic, thankyou

  • can this be done on textured (interior) walls? do you have to do the base coat? can I apply to the whole room before going over with the trowel for the final shine . in the team video he is going behind and shining as soon as the other guy apples it? dont you wait till it dries for a while? thanks

  • To answer your first question: You do need to do a base coat in order to make the surface as smooth as possible. Texture on the surface will create dark lines and ridges and uneven shine. You cannot wait too much before going over the last coat to burnish. Rule of thumb is to burnish every 2 to 4 square feet of the third coat. Thanks for your questions!

  • can this be applied on exterior retaining walls with a smooth finish already on it?

  • Yes. Give us a call and we'll give your more details. You use a product called Era Veneziana, give us a call and we'll give you more details 877 FIRENZE

  • How do you color this material? You show a white base coat, and then 2 following coats? Are you tinting the white base coat? Thanks.

  • Very perceptive, but the base coat is marmorino directly from the pail without tinting. This is done because sometimes the colorant itself will affect the viscosity of the plaster and it gets too watery and difficult to apply. So it's easier to apply the Venetian Plaster in its nice paste form for the base coat and subsequent coats have the colorants added in. Ask and we shall answer!

  • OK, but how are the colorants determined? Are the 2nd and 3rd coats identical in color?

    Thanks!

  • Depending on what color the customer has chosen will determine on which colorants our colorist uses. He may use natural pigments or Low V.O.C (volatile organic compound) pigments. When doing the application, you will be using the same color for all coats. I hope that I was able to answer your questions to your satisfaction. Look forward to hearing from you again.

  • Do you have a website for more detail?
