Try beating the red king on Nightmare difficulty. He's a real pain in the a**!

Most of the game wasn't too bad on Nightmare, but some of the boss battles took me forever to beat, especially the second Jabberwock fight.

I play a little differently than you though. I like to go slowly and snipe enemies from a distance whenever possible, preferably from some place where they can't hit me back. :)

Heh. Yeah well im just insane and fly in as you can see. Believe me the worst fluff ups were cut out :p. And thats from medium, i might try a few of the boss fights on nightmare for a cheap laugh though.

It's definitely beatable on Nightmare. I'm not the greatest player. I practically wear out the quicksave and quickload keys while playing a game. There are several games that I've started playing on "normal" and given up, only to restart on easy. Like Serious Sam 1st & 2nd Encounters.

I didn't have much trouble with Alice really. I did wander around the queen's castle maze for like 2 hours though...

At least they waited until you left an area and came back.

When I played the demo for Requiem: Avenging Angel, I thought it was great. Lots of powers & weapons, detailed characters (for the time), etc. Then I realized that the enemies were respawning. Clear a room, start to walk away and get shot in the back. Kill all the enemies in the distance, start to move forward and more come around the corner. Ridiculous.

Whoops, forgot you probably can't play the Requiem demo. The stupid thing won't install unless it finds DirectX6, even though it works with DX9. Someone patched a copy for me. I'd offer to upload it, but I have no idea what I did with the file.

I'm told that the full game of Requiem installs and runs fine, it's just the demo that wants DX6. The intro video is online but I couldn't find any gameplay vids.

I wish I knew what I did with the patched demo! Now it bugs me, because I never delete things like that.

I found the Requiem demo patch! You install the demo, then run the patch on the D3D EXE file so that it ignores the DirectX version number. Run the demo config first and select D3D. I Rar'ed both and put them here (32MB);
