Gurl your awesome, i got an interview to morrow an im looking for neat professional hairstyles...an i found it yayyyy!! So thanks God for your awesomeness an continue being a blessing :)
super cute miss lady, the only thing that had me was my head started hurting and I had flash backs to when I used to get corn rolls, the pain. Did the twist on the side hurt?
I wish I could do this style exactly, but will have to modify it. I've had my locs for almost 5 years but my hair is just naturally layered and it's sorta annoying because bun styles always have to be modified. Grr... I'll try this one tomorrow and hopefully like it! Thanks for sharing, BG! Much love and blessings to you.
I have been watching your tutorials all morning.....great videos..I realize that i have been so bored with my locs...no style...i have maybe 4 basic styles...but no more...i washed and dyed my hair last night..I will shock my husband with the new me...Thank you for all the great styles!!!!!!!!....Happy 2 b Nappy!!!!
Hello Bronze I watch all of your videos but hardly ever comment; I really like this chic quick Bun that you did. Looks lovely as usual hope you are feeling well and the angel in your belly. Keep up the good work I am happy to be a subscriber. Continue to be Blessed and Highly Favored !!
Your hair is glowing. How do you keep your locs from joining together when not re-twisting. Trying to prevent those dragons, but also need to give my roots a break. Also, how do you tie your hair at night to keep them from holding you captive under your back or your hubbies arm?
@CraftyNelle Rosemary oil/tea tree oil in olive oil is a really good scalp treatment. Spend a little more on your shampoo. The cheaper ones are full of sudsing agents that cause your scalp to flake. Find a scalp conditioner made from REAL oil, not petrolatum and add tea tree or rosemary oil to it. Use that on your scalp.
I love this video. Every time I had a question you answered it like the second after I wondered about it. I want to try the style, hope I have enough hair but mine may not look as full. I guess I could do it after a braidout for more volume. Thanks. Blessings.
Hey Hun I'm from the UK and ive, been following you for a while as you and your locs are so inspirational to me! Someone earlier asked if your hair was still loced or whether it was twisted. I wondered the same thing cos the texture of your hair seems straighter than usual.... Or maybe its the video! Either way you and your hair are beautiful x
Thank you for the tutorial! I was de-ter-mined to wear this bun today! My flat twists aren't quite as neat as yours (not enough loose hair), but, I still rocked it. It was nice, but could've been better had I not been rushing to get out of the door. This is going to be my #1 style - for everything! Great style for interviews. I may even wear it on my wedding day with nice accessories and maybe some metallic thread wrapped around a few locs. Gotta work on my flat twists. Gracias, chica!
Have you considered using a water-based moisturizer to put moisture into your hair/scalp or making a spritz with water and your oil? The oil only seals in moisture but doesn't moisturize. My locs hate oil altogether because it just coats for me. I use Taliah Waajid's Protective Styling Mist to moisturize my locs and don't know where I'd be without it since only water-based moisturizers work for me.
@msnikkie416 It could also lead to miscarriages. You're not supposed to use it while pregnant and/or breastfeeding. At one point I wanted to start my own line of natural hair and skincare products. I researched the heck out of natural oils, herbs, and extracts.
question...have you ever experienced after washing your "freeform" loc roots getting stuck together and then getting really puffy? Well that happened to me..I am mad about that, because my locs are med size and now the roots are fat.

Oopps didn't finish writing. before it posted... as I was saying, been growing my locs for 8 yrs and got tired of the lengths and cut it. Its alittle pass my shoulders now, coming from my mid back. I have a really big problem, I love to retwist, I now realize that my hair is thinning out all around:-(. What do you suggest I do ??? I know for one I have to keep my hand out of my hair, however hard it will be for me to do!!!!
LOVE IT!!!! I 'be been growing my loss for 8 yrs, and just recently cut them down, because I didn't know how to style it...then I found you!!!! Now I miss my long loss,
This is triple cute "Hunny" lol. Thank you so much! Did you retwist often your first and second year with locs or still only retwisted like every 3 months or so?
I really love how you do the flat twists in your hair and I have a question. I am having the same issue with dry hair and dry skin and I just wanted to know if you knew what is a good product to use I mean its driving me crazy how dry my scalp get and I would like my locs to be more moisturized. If you can help me I appreciate it and I really like your makeup tutorials and your loc tutorials you are so talented
I love this hairstyle heck I love all of your loc tuts LOL I will try this hairstyle when I go out with the hubby on my wedding anniversary..... Keep doing what you doing you are my daily inspiration thanks so much :)
If you only re-twist once every 3 months does the new growth ever get to you? If I can't make it I just touch up the front and leave the back. I know I have to get my hair done every month because if I don't I would have a full fro and it will drive me insane. lol Since I had my son, I'm not able to go as much as I like, but since I'm still home & it's still cold for now I just tie it down.
I love this style .You are one of my favorites on you tube.when I first started to watch you tube you were one of the ones who gave me alot of styles that I never thought were possible with locs...so it s safe to say you got my creative juices flowing..and for that I am always grateful for your vids.THANKS
That gorgeous! I'm going to try this with my locs--I just have to figure out what holding product will work without irritating my sensitive scalp. Gel is not my friend. Maybe I'll try home made flax seed gel...
I love the flat twists..started my locs last month.
Your styles are great, loveeeee ur channel- are they making that spot on the left side thin? pls let me know, I wanna try'em, but I don't want breakage! lol
