@Kenny93bv You can only be assigned to one branch. but many times we fly other planes from other branches when not doing mission related stuff.

@Volarknight At the time I did that video I think I was running a Intel Q6600 overclocked to 3.6GHz or so with a Nvidia GTX 285 SSC, 4gb system RAM. I use REX, GEX and UTX add on's for FSX.

@WakeUpDummies hey bro. doing good. those 308th paints were from a couple of years ago when we were flying together. you did those. I think they are still using them. if you get some time to fly, you should come check out the fsxfleet. I primarily fly the superbug now.

@crodiler1 well actually my wingman did a great landing. just in multiplayer things dont always sync up right and a lot of the time it looks like the landing is bad or the plane is going through the ground or deck of a carrier. FSX is just glitchy this way in multiplayer.

@randomguyjfktx well that is tough one. I used to have the Saitek X52 Pro and it worked great. I have since upgraded the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warhog and it is awesome. Just a very expensive controller. If you can afford a TrackIR with Pro Clip, that would be a huge plus in your siming experience.

Is the game all about start, fly straight over the clouds, staring at ugly land from google maps sometimes...then I really have hard times to find what kind of fun is that. At least vid is pointless.

@stickkey First off, it is not a game, it is a simulation. Secondly, many people enjoy the elements of flying whether it is in "ugly land from google maps" or otherwise. This is not Xbox, PS3 or whatever it is you play. Have you ever tried FSX? Do you even know anything about real aviation? What people get out of this is different and personal for each person. You may feel the vid is pointless just as I think your comment is, but others are just the opposite and enjoy FSX videos.

@efastMixer looks like just the FSX engine for weather. I most likely had the rex engine off but use the rex textures since they are nicer.

@xbeast133 planes do not fire weapons yet! Most of these planes are freeware or payware add ons.

@xbeast133 VRS is coming out with a tac pak and then eventually a SDK that can be used to add in to other planes the ability to fire missiles, shoot others down, etc. check out vrsimulations on the web. Supposedly this is releasing real soon since they said spring time.

@DaZeBoYy Aerosoft. Cockpit detail and Flight model is way better. IRIS has some better functionality when it comes to systems. But Aerosoft for sure is better in my opinion.

@DaZeBoYy interesting. most people are clueless when they say "realistically". Unless I am talking to a real F-16 pilot. I would not hold any weight to that. I have both planes. I think the AS has better flight dynamics and I think they had a real f-16 pilot involved in the development of the AS F-16 too...you'd have to double check me on that.

@JimmyJumbelFilms not necessarily in FSX Multiplayer. His descent rate was fine. However, most often in multiplayer due to lag and what not, the planes appear to land through the runway surface thus triggering the sparks. Hopefully in the new MS Flight sim they will improve upon FSX to deal with these issues.

Hey man great vid! Got a couple of questions. That is the aerosoft f-16 right, if is did you buy the downloadable version or cd? if i buy it i want to know if one or the other has ups and downs. and i have a gateway laptop and have fsx gold edition and when i play fsx its real slow and lags alot. if theres someway to fix it id like to know. thanks

@dukenner ya it's the aerosoft one. It was a download when I purchased it. That plane does hit the frame rates a bit. most likely if you are having slowness problems now, it will be worse with the AS F-16 and planes like the VRS Superbug. You might read some of the FSX flight sim forums to see if there are some tweaks to help you out until you can get a new machine. check simviation and avsim forums for starters.

Thanks man, i look into those forums, ive tried editing the realism settings but it didnt do much. and one more question, when i use the hat switch on my sidestick the view kinda lags. do you use the mouse to move your view? when i watch most fsx vids they look so smooth when they move there view.

@dukenner I think the AS F-16 is worth it, better than the IRIS one. But both have there pros and cons. The lagging you get from the views is just the lack of horsepower, maybe even video card memory you cannot do anything about on a laptop. I use a lot of the fsx camera views for smooth tracking, but also use trackIR when I am panning. Smoothness comes from the machine specs to handle FSX.

FSX fleet has really grown since i was in. Hope to have a really really good computer to rejoin the fleet. I loved doing training missions. I used to fly the B-2 Stealth Bomber and was also promoted to squadron leader at 1 time. Great videos guys keep them coming.
