  • finally, something i can relate to, someone who actually made a, raw recipe; just spiralized squash with cut up tomatoes.

  • the suction cups work...all you do is press it down..then lift the little tabs to release

  • That looks like the same spiral sicer I just ordered, but the pasta looks thicker than I'd hoped. Is it possible to make it thinner?

  • Yeah, I used the wrong blade in this video. There is a blade to make it thin.

  • Good to know. Thanks!

  • what type of squash is that?

  • wht do you mean by squash?

  • I bet that would be good with some herbs in it.

  • I'm going to start putting some in it for now on.

  • If You're happy with the flavor of just tomato, then by all means stick to Your recipe, but there are many raw marinara/tomato sauce recipes online and in books. The raw spaghetti is a classic for raw foodists, and it is one of the first that I tried-I used Jennifer Cornbleet's recipe for the sauce. Also, if You let the squash sit mixed with the sauce for, oh, about 30-60 minutes, the squash softens considerably and has the texture of cooked pasta-if that's appealing to You.

  • Thanks for the tip! I have Jennifer's book and DVD, I'll try it!

  • Thanks for the info! I've been researching the raw diet since mid 07 and I've been to those sites, but thanks anyway!

  • i guess that wouldn't go with the whole raw thing though.

  • I'm not sure if there's any raw spaghetti squash recipes or not, I'll have to look into that. I bet there is.

  • Speaking of squash spaghetti... have you heard of the spaghetti squash? it's a pretty big squash... looks like a long pumpkin. you can roast it in the oven and then crack it open. it looks like spaghetti inside.

  • Yeah! I've heard of that.

  • that is a cool contraption!

  • I like it a lot.

  • I want one of those spiral things! That looks good. Next time add some garlic and basil in there and I bet it would be even better.

  • Thanks for the tip! I'll do that!
