the Adb.exe and AdbWinApi.dll file locations moved to \android\android-sdk-windows\p­latform-tools with sdk r08. Hope this helps.

@jokebatblink i had this same probem and it pissed me off for days but you can download adb.exe and AdbWinApi.dll off of the net and then put them into the windows system 32 folder then it should work for you

I followed video part 1 and video part 2. All was great. I downloaded BusyBox and it says I am root but can't install as I "may not have nand root access" Also when I connect to the Terminal Emulator I downloaded from the market place and from ADB SHELL I get "Permission denied" when trying to su. Any ideas?? Also, now JuiceDefender won't run setup. The log says this may be due to a pause asking for SU access. SuperUser application has a blank log and no apps in the list. :(

I have a question. I was up to the part where you are supposed to do airplane mode and get the pound sign instead of the $ sign. The phone then died and rebooted itself and the $ sign went back to C:\Android\tools ..once it rebooted. Now i'm stuck. am i supposed to continue from where I left off on.. (Entering 2 commands and Going airplane mode ) ? or start over and ADB the codes from STEP 1 - 4... I just Synced my HTC contacts. If i uninstall it in the future will it hold my contacts?

some of you might be getting the error message because your not putting in the space between the forward slash and the last typed text prior to the slash... in command prompt. All spaces, caps numbers letters and symbols are sensative down to every space and caps. type it exactly as you see it including spaces and caps.

Worked Perfectly. Pay close attention and pause the video and make sure you do everything step by step, my phone did freeze up , but i took the battery out and was able to pick up from there. FREE TETHER ALREADY INSTALLED! I have no prior technical expirience just patience, 3 hours! Thanks to the Video Maker! Excellent Job!

everything works step by step until the airplane mode step. I turn my phone on and off airplane mode a couple times, but freezes and i have to screen off/unlock again to toggle again- basically it never took me back to the screen that yours does when toggling the mode. do i need to start over at a certain command prompt or what?

I must say it DOES WORK! I just had to keep at it. Guys just do exactly as he says when in cmd mode. Follow the commands and be careful to put spaces where the suppose to be and forward slashes too. Oh, and for the vista people when you extract the android sdk make sure it is the same file path you are typing in when in cmd mode.

@djR3Z you didn't go to the android-sdk\tools folder. the adb push command is relative to absolute sensitive. unless you put the path of the file you want to transfer, it will go by where you are in in terms of the directory for it's file search.

@batsugun2021 You need to install a ROM that uses a kernel that has the cap removed. Most ROMs now have it removed.

Hey djR3z, i noticed that unrevoked is down right now. Do you know if we can use unrevoked2, instead of 3?

We're looking at some bugs that a very small number (two) EVO users have encountered and have taken the tool down for a short while until we're satisfied that they have been resolved.

In the meantime, you may use the older version here which has been stable in use for a while as part of a downgrade root for 2.2: unrevoked2.
