  • ironside even though heard jester is dead Yeee-Haaa 10000 times, menaged to quote it wrong in this interview. "YAaaa-Hooo"

  • el tiempo es el berdugo, pero el el alma sigue igual no se deteriora, igual de BEUTIFUL,PERU saludos de PERU

  • Starring in this movie has ruined my life...maybe this 20 million dollars will help me deal with it! Please...........

  • Thanks for this.

  • The ultimate movie of AOR music!!

  • Worst commentary ever. Oh, those poor whanna-be-stars never dreamt to become real Hollywood stars, so they signed up for Top Gun and ... became stars.

    Fuck me.

  • @HiipiesPwn if you are referring to Kelly McGillis then you have definitely put your foot in your mouth. She was already trying to cope with being assaulted and raped in her apartment just before getting her roles in Witness and then Top Gun which catapulted her into fame and celebrity. Having to deal with all that at once it's no wonder it became too much for her to handle.

  • Jet fighters was sexy even before Top Gun & Tom Cruise!

  • id still fuck kelly.

  • @jamie211983 too bad she's lesbian

  • @haters123 shit i didnt know that..

  • I never expected McGillis to be like that

  • Whoever played that guitar in the last minutes is a genius!

  • @FlintF Harold Faltermeyer

  • @emjot77sw Thanks for the info; of the Google it is!

  • @FlintF oops! ;) had to double check on that, glad that I did, it's Steve Stevens on guitar, Faltermeyer wrote it and played other instruments :)

  • @FlintF it's steve stevens

  • farewell to the Tomcat!!

  • ...someone feels sorry for themselves. crack up!

  • 9:55 to 10:03 are epic parts of the movie and with the song god more epic

  • Bas je Super Film!

  • Bas je Super Film

  • LOL....LOVE Michael Ironside awesome actor who is just so down to earth off the camera....he talks about his job (that most people would die for) like its just another ho hum job

  • LOL, SO GAY

  • WOW Kelly Mcgillis was a fuckin psycho.. And i guess Berlin was more comfortable playing at birthday parties than going number 1 with a huge song they didn't write. Hilarious..

  • wtf is wrong with her , she scared of all that money she was gonna make?

  • wait, sam fisher is jester! How did he get defeated!?

  • Oh! Please burden me with such accolades and success!

I love that theme song. I got married because of that song. I got divorced because of that song. I spent two decades of my life in our NAVY because of that movie...

I had a great ride. Don't thank me for my service, the Navy thanked me twice a month for the whole career. It was an honor and a privilege to serve our country.

I would be glad to serve another twenty. I highly recommend our NAVY to any capable young man in America.

  • i only watch this movie for the f-14 scenes i could careless about everything else lol.

  • twat, hippiespwn

  • i think its funny when you hear these actors talking about,,i couldn't deal with all the money and fame and people around me,,BOOHOO ZIP IT LOL

  • Great Movie....forever

  • Have seen this many times...I especially like the flying sences. But I like how the pilots work together and take a lot of pride in themselves. Makes me wish I would have stayed in the Navy. I liked wearing the uniform and serving my country.

  • I read the same thing about Carrie Fisher she was of course in "Star Wars". She said it was a huge hit and then there was no place to go except down. She started drinking a lot. I can't believe these women...you are a big success in life so you end up hitting the bottle?

  • kelly is a maverick. she knows she is.

  • The F-14 Tomcat was the true star of the filim - a classic fighter that has earned its place in history.

Kenny Loggins, and Dann Huff on guitar in "Danger Zone" was another classic.

  • I feel the need... the need for speed

  • "Jester's dead"

  • I might have the worlds record for seeing top gun. In my estimation i have seen it at least 200 times. none of this can be verified. it has been 25 years since the first time i have seen it, and it never gets old. LONG LIVE THE F14 TOMCAT!!!!

  • One thing they didn't mention was the effect the film had on the home "surround sound" system market. For years, Montgomery Ward would have a big screen TV with a surround sound system set up playing Top Gun...I wonder how the concept would have fared without the boost it got from Top Gun.

Great film, I remember it was in theaters for about a full year...

  • Just saw a recent picture of Kelly Mcgillis she looks like a grandma!

Some actors take it too seriously!

They are playing fictional characters (hello) its make-believe not reality you don’t have to live up to it it’s only playacting.

Its still a cranking fun film to watch or listen to if you have neat home cinema.

  • Don Simpson was who he was.

Everything he did, he was responsible for.

    Including him.

  • As a matter of fact I watch this movie once a week aswell =D

  • Two lines that Michael Ironside has heard too many times:

    1) "Jester's dead!"

    2) "See you at the party, Richter!"

  • SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!! SWORDFIGHT!!!!

  • What I got from the 4th part of the series, was an essential lesson to learn, 'It takes guts to live up to it. That is the name of the game'. I remember my mom telling me, time and again, when I was a kid at school 'It is easy to reach the voctory stand. The difficult part is to keep doing that!' and the first time for me was in level 2, the next time was seven years later!

  • ohh boo hoo they became rich and famous but they had to live up to their image even though they didnt want to... fuck them try getting a real job and having to work for a living

  • @HippiesPwn boo hoo yourself, who are u to judge. i know ppl in hollywood and if you have never been in their shoe's, then you really don't have the right to make such a comment.........

  • @kenra72 Don't slap a tiger in the face and then get mad when it bites you. These actors know what they're getting into when they make movies. If you don't like the hounding of fame, then don't beg for fame. If you don't want aids, then don't fuck someone with aids and then bitch about having aids.

  • @elvisfan22 it a shame that there are so many hater's and jealous people in the world.

  • @HippiesPwn ahah seriously, tom obviously didnt habe a problem.

  • @HippiesPwn your username makes this statement ironic. also, try giving constant national spotlight a try, and then say this. remember that you need talent to get there in the first place, which you apparently do not have.

  • @HippiesPwn These people become very popular, because of their fame. They start to miss genuine relationships formed because of their personality. All the money makes them lose touch with society and community. Yes it sounds ungrateful but a sense of belonging is very strong. I've experienced similar problems because my job either makes people weak at the knees or they don't believe me. Either way, it's never about me. If you're a player or such it's great, but this girl seems like a nice girl.

  • @HippiesPwn maybe entertaining millions of idiotic masses including yourself is a real job... you know those 12 hour days of filming must be so easy just so you can be entertained

  • Kelly is hot even to this day!

  • @69adrummer

    but...

  • i would still ride kelly lol

  • jester was always the laid back and serious pilot. He was always straight forward to. My favorite pilots in topgun are:

    Mavrick

    Cougar

    Iceman

    Goose

    Jester

    Viper

    Hollywood

    and Sundowm

  • @ChiefofStaff57

    .. ok

  • Casablanca is America's most quoted movie...

  • @Sublette217 I'm not sure a lot of people quote Casablanca much these days.

  • one of the best movies ever made!!!! love it!!!

  • But isn't that the reason people pursue drama, acting, cinema? To become a household name, famous and wealthy? I don't get it. Why put yourself out there if you have an idea it will destroy you? I hope she's ok but her reasoning makes no sense. 'Guess I'd have to be in her shoes to understand.

  • @jackwhiskey excuse me if i try to explain...this is how i see it as a fellow actress. The dream of acting for some ppl is not about hollywood, the fame, the money, or parties. When you're on stage and all the lights are on you that is the dream right there, it's an exhilarating feeling very hard to explain but that gives a thrill the very same way Maverick loved flighting and proving himself in the air, it's all about adrenaline. I think that what she means about you have no way but down...cont

  • @bailnaloka cont'd... if you have insecurity problems like she did because at that point everyone wants a piece of you, everyone wants to be your friend and give you the world and you can never be sure if it's because of who you are or the image ppl perceive from you. That is why so many ppl, and not only actors, entrepreneurs, singers, etc enter that stage of depression in their lives and begin destroying themselves w/out knowing b/c what they are doing is trying to find a save haven...cont'd

  • @jackwhiskey cont'd...sorry if i made this too long, but i saw many similar comments to yours in which ppl didn't understand why she went through that phase in her life, and since I kind of understand it i thought I should try to explain it. I hope you understand what I meant, but basically not everyone in the business of acting does it for fame, and usually those who do it for fame and money are the ones w/out any real talent (ex. Heidi Muntag, Kardashians?).

  • @jackwhiskey cont'd... because after you reach success, especially in hollywood which is a very frivolous place with many parasitical beings trying to get advantage and earn money from your success, you have to keep proving yourself and every time you have to outshine your last performance, you have to be better because that is what people expect and it's a lot of pressure to always be the best especially when you have many people around you whom you can't trust, and especially...cont'ed

  • "YEEEEHAAAA JESTER IS DEAD ....must´ve heard that line like a hundred thousand times "

    I lol´d at this

  • @Maverick626 .... omg his expression was PRICELESS

  • what song do you think i've got in my head when im flying lol, TOPGUN, its just amazing, awsome all of them things in one.

  • 1:19 lol

  • yeeehhhhhhaaaaa jesters dead

  • This is cool

  • Those poor stars, struggleing with all that success ... buhuhu, (all the way to the bank) ...

  • cheers for sharing. ur right this is a rare one.
