im laughing rather hard at this.... you never ever do inside cutouts before the outside cut, thermal warping moves the material, no matter what it is... and due to the standoff the accuracy must be completely rubbish
@DrpProductions Sitting in the office, on the PC replying on my lunch break... whilst out on the floor is 2 2KW lasers and a 4KW laser, 13 years of running these later, i think i may have more than a FAIR IDEA.... now don't you feel like an idiot...
@Eschelonistic Thats pussyshit, I have 2 6KW home built lasers and 3 years experience running them, and i take lunch whenever I damn well please suckit.
@DrpProductions somehow i doubt that, power bill would be through the roof... and Bystronics, Amada, Prima industries or Trumpf haven't hired you for your "amazing" ability to build a 6KiloWatt laser in your back shed.... let me guess you can shoot alien spaceships out of the sky as well...
well there are many reasons why lasers are awesome and why there not but if your bored and want some fun lasers will provide entertainment for a while lol anyway cya
why would you need to "play" with a laser anyway...is your social life that lacking? does pretending you are darth vader with a lightsaber really not get old after 10 minutes?
yeah you're right...being able to cut through solid wood using nothing but light is really boring compared to sitting in your mother's living room spending 20-30 seconds popping a stupid baloon...right
Yes, but I also can't bring a thousand watt co2 laser into my mothers living room. These lasers are very powerful and just plain awesome, but they're not capable of projecting a beam miles away (they can but its IR). But the main thing is that you can't fit this in your pocket, and a sitting in my mother's living room balloon popping green laser can. Face it, cutting through materials with a stationary $30k gets old to "play" with compared to the things you can do with a green laser

Wow, that is super cool. And I thought CNC machining was awesome, this blows that away!

knives are still much more cool/fun then lazers. then again im not gunna spend 2000$ just to find the difference between a lazer and a knife.

YES! This puts all those lame baloon-popping green laser pointer n00bs to shame! LOL

ido agree, but this one also cant be operated on two triple A batteries and this one produces IR light. which is boring.
