The Jews declared the state of Israel at 1948 the day after it all armies of the surrounding Arab state attacked young Israel, not before urging the local Arabs to get out of Israel in order to return later after killing all the Jews. They ran a way but lost the war. This is the Naqba in a nutshell. Since then no Arab country absorbed them.

Talk to people who know what their talking about on both sides (i.e. Soldiers from both sides, citizens from Gaza, Muslim citizens of Israel). You shouldn't blindly follow anybody, but I find more often than not, people blindly oppose Israel, and that's unacceptable as well. P.S. it's "their", not "there"
