I did the root an it was very succesfull the only thing is when I downloaded the wireless tether that was succesfull but when i try to connect it, it turns on but none of my devices can find or connect to it and it tells me to look at the log and there are some failures.

I tried doing this last night and it didn't work so I gave up, disconnected the phone and put my pc to "sleep". But then today when I "woke up" my pc, the gingersnap screen was ON and it said my device had been rooted and it was ready to go. I guess the software doesn't work. I plugged my phone again and half hour later, gingersnap is still rebooting. I guess it doesn't work :(

i followed the instructions but my system stops after debugging and attempting to root. The rooting software says there is some "unhandled exception occurred in application. If you click continue the app will ignore this error and attempt to continue"

Works on my Optimus S! Very quick! Follow the direction to the dot on that site. If the phone didn't automatically reboot, shut down your phone, reboot, then try to root it again. I had to run it twice but now works :]

hey everybody, it took me a while to get this working, but what i was missing was checking the box under applications then unknown sources. So check the box for unknown sources as well, hope that helps. Great video btw
