Let them call whatever they want to be, don't take it too seriously or personnaly. Let them be. It is like calling your parents "best persons in the world" (if you like them...). Dancing is just having fun and it is not competition. I feel sorry for those who think otherwise... damn there is always someone better than us, and hopefully not all of them are judging everytime other people. (but a few does...). I hope it has a meaning: my english is very cheap or poor...
Some of you totally don't get. Salsa is not about cool moves, same thing as Chi-Tao-mao-bla-bla is not about hight round kicks nor capoira about acrobatical saltoos. I dance for some time and I can tell, their technique is very good to see. Im sure, they could kick asses if they only ment to. Can't you see this is a BLOODY DAMNED TRAINING GYM not some Extra-cool-event or competition where they need to swank ??
I would like to see some response videos of the people that say that are way better than these two. I don't think they are the best but then again if you notice. They were really taking it very easy in this song. I think they were just messing around and just having fun.
Come on man, I didn't even post this video. I asked the guy to take it down. I don't even like that he put BEST up there because this was me demoing a beginner class that I had just taught.
not worried. this video was from i think a couple of years ago. the girl is one of the best in Ashland. It is still a young and inexperienced scene there. Anyway, no need to be sorry. It is your opinion. I think it would be different if i posted this video, but the guy who posted it put it up and I did not want it up. Oh well, it is up, so whoever can get something out of it, I hope they do, otherwise, find something else that is more beneficial and watch that :).
agreed. Our scene is small and Marisa is one of the best follows around here but this video doesn't do anybody justice in terms of a measuring stick. It's a low-key demonstration for beginners -- and it's great for that.
I find this so funny that more people watch these videos where we are fooling around than the real performance videos. Just type in "hurricane tumbao" and you will find actual performance videos of us dancing. Those should be viewed more than these.
thank you for your comment. I just felt it was unfair that I was being hammered for this video, when I didn't even post it. I am glad there are some people out there that just see things for what they are: Fun.
@enflujo i do too like the salsa now its just feels like its just a bunch of quick movements if its not like this . it loses the passion of salsa dancing if its just really, really quick
okay..so i am the guy in the video and I did not post this. In fact, I was dancing with one of my students who happens to be an advanced beginner. If you would like to pick on beginners then go ahead. I find it tasteless.
